Oki Japan is very tasty and at a great price. We were there before the circus, which was on the lot and had a nice meal. It is located inside the Lakewood Center Mall.The place is small and does a lot of to go and delivery. There are some nice places to sit and the mall area right out front as a lot of seating.We had shrimp tempura and rice which was great and some sushi. The sushi was good, not great. We will have something else next time. Their beef bento box was really good...
I have been going here for a couple years but I had an experience in which the Terriyaki sauce was super salty and mention it to the owner and took the feedback in a negative way. I really enjoy the food but I had a bad experience which the sauce was super salty when it usually is more on the sweet side. Definitely a hit or miss in my opinion.
The issue is not the flavor or the quality of the food but the lack of friendliness and speed of service. I have been to several joint similar to this one (there is one in Cerritos mall for example).. and the service in this one is sloooowwwwww..You got to have your top selling plate ready to serve and not cook to order. This is a mall fast food not a gourmet sit down restuarant.
