I stopped by Off the Chain Soul Food in Lancaster after a long road trip, not expecting much since I've been disappointed with most of the soul food I've tried in LA. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I don't understand what all the negative reviews are about because this is hands down the best soul food I've had in So Cal. I was born and raised in the south so I have high standards, and Off the Chain exceeded them.

I came across this restaurant because I needed to find a soul food restaurant that could cater for an upcoming gathering. The restaurant I usually order from was booked. After placing an order for my gathering, me and my mom decided to order to try out the food. It is delicious! I had the fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and green beans.
