I was impressed by the freshness of all the ingredients, nori, fish, rice. I could not pay more but I was still hungry so I went another sushi place. There I got full, but the taste at Keiko is why you pay more. The authentic Japanese restaurant seems like it has died, as the cost of doing business is severe. There is no Japanese mood, Japanese chefs, but a few places have Japanese head waitresses. It is not the same as eating sushi in the old days. Nothing truly Japanese about sushi, served by Latinos, with classic jazz. Keiko is closer to authentic. Closer, expensive, still not really Japanese. Amerkatasdeska…

I was really looking forward to trying this place. The sushi was fine. The service was very slow for no apparent reason with no explanation offered. 15 minutes to have our order taken and another 30 minutes for some simple rolls and nigiri. The ordering process was confusing and they didn't bring us one item we ordered (though they also didn't charge for it). Also we left there smelling like tempura.

Do yourself a huge favor and sit down at the sushi bar in front of the best sushi chef in all of Marin County. He's also the owner and is there every single day. The quality of the fish is incredibly high, and every single piece of nigiri is meticulously prepared. He actually makes his own ponzu sauce that is out of this world. I've had sushi at a lot of great places but Keiko Fish tops the list, without a doubt. Absolutely fabulous.

Everything was spectacular here at Keiko Fish! By far the BEST sushi l've had in years. Tops my list for best sushi in Marin. But don't listen to me because I don't want it gaining too much popularity and becoming hard to get a table. lol. This place is pricey (honestly, worth every penny) so be careful when ordering because what's written on the white board/specials are sold by the piece not in pairs (which I think most are accustomed to) for this style is both brilliant and unfortunate. It's a great way to try new and unique pieces but not for your date, they don't get a bite.
Trust me - this place is a superstar and I can't wait to indulge again soon. The staff was wonderful so friendly and knowledgeable even met the owner who's back behind the counter popping out fantastic dish after fantastic dish. Atmosphere is lovely, small, quaint and warm thanks to the open kitchen which also entertains the wondering eye. I wish I wasn't so obsessed with the food and remembered to take pics of all the dishes. (Only the first dish got photo opp.) Spicy Tuna on top of crispy rice, Avocado and eel sauce.

Just popped in for lunch today and the environment was so sophisticated and relaxing. There was jazz in the radio and soft lighting and I was so happy to be out of the rain. The dragon roll was the best I’ve ever had and the service was excellent. What a hidden gem- I’ll be back!

Amazing food, it’s our go to for Japanese cuisine. Great service. The dining area can get a little too smoky from the cooking, which can linger on clothes.

Lovely sushi spot in Larkspur. I was so happy to stumble upon this gem while shopping in the area. Quality sushi options in Marin are limited, so this is a welcome find in the neighborhood. I will be back!

Excellent! I’m sharing the fish rolls Amy and Olivia had, they finished with some amazing looking Faty Toro. The avocado roll was excellent, I was surprised by the Veggie Roll, next time I’ll get at least 2! The mix of crunch and flavor is fantastic! I also got the special veggie roll, the long sour finish was stunning, sneaky and rewarding! I’ll be back!!!

Noisy, not great service. Staff of 2-3 overwhelmed night before Thanksgiving clearly. We got there at 6, had to wait for glasses of water for 20 minutes. One sushi chef, one assistant. Had to wait for someone to take our order over 30 minutes, and we sat at the bar! First time trying Keiko, not sure we’d go back.
