The best cappuccino in Marin hands down! Been going there for years -- the service has been consistently excellent and the pastries and cakes are quintessential Italian delicacies! Gary and Jeannie Rulli are the dedicated hands-on proprietors -- wonderful people and a blessing to our Larkspur community🥰!

The coffee and the food are ok but this is not what makes Rulli special. It's the decoration and the feeling the place gives you. Return to another century of long forgotten treats and times.

We stood masked in line at few moments after 11:00am on the Friday before Memorial Day, waiting to place our order. Most of the outdoor tables were occupied so we headed to an indoor table with our order number sign. We had each ordered the ham and Brie baguette and 1 Coke and 1 lemonade. We ordered the baguettes to be heated. They were delivered to us at the table and were larger than we expected but they were warm, gooey, and delicious. We almost felt like we were in Europe and happy to be - tho it would have been more pleasant if we hadn't had to wear masks. No problem there, just the thought that we would like to get back to the old "normal!"

I work as a bus driver for a nursing home in Ohio 2447.7 miles from Larkspur CA. One of our 91 year old residents received a Christmas Gift of a Panettone. It was sent to our facility, but our resident was hospitalized so understandably by the time she was released and physically able to open the box the item was moldy. While that in and of itself is no surprise, the treatment I received from their customer service was absolutely was appalling. My first call was dispatched to someone who explained that as a small family owned business it was unlikely they would mail our resident a replacement. She suggested the resident and I split the cost but stated she would pass on the message. After 1 week and no return call, I called back and got someone who actually stated it would be “***** (exact word) to mail the same product - since I could not guarantee the resident would not be rehospitalized. In the end she agreed to send her some biscotti - and while I agree that won’t perish, I’m not sure a 91 with her own teeth will have an easy time enjoying biscotti. As I tried to thank the woman for doing the right thing, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!

We met with friends at this restaurant for lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt fantastic. The meal was tasty. We loved this place very much and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.

It sounds like some of the reviewers are a bit jaded, and who can help that of people who live in the middle of one of the most beautiful places on earth, the North Bay? We were told about this place by our wonderful Italian teacher, Ada Nourse, whose joy for life was unparalleled. When we walked into Rulli, we didn’t know what to expect, but we knew it would be a treat! And it was. The smell of the freshest coffee mingles with the pastries just baked and placed temptingly in their case, and the chocolates — it all added up to a memory I will never forget. Don’t EXPECT, as in entitlement — just go, breathe in deeply and enjoy!

meh- I mean it's Larkspur - trying to be Italian- catering to mostly tourists/a few regular customers and mostly an older population- Equator just down the road has better coffee IMHO- but the pastries are good here.

The baked goods here are wonderfully traditional Italian cookies, cakes, pastries. You can have light meals, a coffee and dessert...don't hesitate to stop by.

My wife and I have visited Rulli several times over the years, and while their selection is still lovely, the expectations of high quality that their atmosphere seems to promise just isn’t fulfilled too much of the time. Today we went for a couple of pastries and a pot of tea. The pastries were good, but no better than a ‘7’ out of ‘10’, and the tea had the distinct flavor of chlorinated tap water. What should have been a treat ended up being just an ‘eh’. They should do better.

The service was so bad that I don't really remember the food. It looked great and had good reviews, so we had high hopes. One of the servers behind the counter was truly terrible. Hopefully she has received significant training or been fired - she seemed very entitled and clueless about service. They also seemed to be out of a critical breakfast item like orange juice or coffee or something. The whole experience was weird. To be fair, I would probably give them another chance. I can't believe the place is as bad as it was that day. Larkspur has higher standards.

It is attractive and I believe a local landmark. However, the coffee is just average and as I recall, the desserts or pastries are over priced. To be fair, I haven't eaten much there over the years. I think it is worth walking through if enjoying Larkspur 'downtown' - which is quaint.

Wonderful traditional European coffee house. Fabulous pastries. Civilized atmosphere. My favorite to take home is the panatone Genoese.

Unusually beautifully coffee house with delicious pastries, sandwiches, croissants, cakes, ice cream. The exquisite Venician mural is worth a special visit. Service is spot on. A huge improvement to what it used to be.
