Ridiculous pricing for a dive bar. Went in on a Monday around 5pm and ordered 1 Miller High Life and 1 house wine.... The cost was $17.50! If you want a dive bar experience that is actually affordable, I recommend going to the 2am club in mill valley where most beers (including high life) are only $4!

I have visited this place twice. The first time was with some lovely neighborhood lady friends of mine, who happened to be French, Hollander and Italian. The service was great. The second time, I went on a date and we decided to have a drink before our dinner at Antonio's, which is located across the street. I patiently waited to place my drink order, gesturing once or twice to get the attention of the staff. Unfortunately, about 15 minutes of waiting. They were extremely rude and completely ignored me. The people sitting next to me noticed and jokingly said "are you on their shit list?" I honestly felt very discriminated against. We made no fuss about it and left.

if you're looking for an unpretentious, neighborhood dive bar (that isn't *trying* to be a dive bar) this is your place. cheap drinks, healthy pours, friendly bartenders! pool tables, $2 a game or $5 for 3 (cash only). solid juke box! we will be back for sure!

I have been a close personal friend of the owner of The Peso ( best friends) since freshman year of high school! He and his establishment are open minded and friendly. I am writing this as a black woman who has been to many bars in the Bay Area. Compare this bar to any other and compare your experience. The owner hires only nice, kind hearted people, which he also is! Been a great guy since we met in the early 80's!

The Silver Peso is an institution in Marin. Great bar, great staff and great ownership. It's a wonderful place for a drink with friends or a game of pool. It has an inclusive, welcoming environment and I highly recommend it.
I visited some friends in the Bay area a few times in the past couple years and had the pleasure of going to the Silver Peso. After my first visit I decided I would continue to make a stop every time I'm in town. The staff was very friendly and although it was crowded, the service was great. I played pool and I feel like I made some friends while I was there. I would recommend visiting this legendary bar if you're in the area.

the atmosphere of this place is awful. there's a lot of angry people here, including the employees. they all seem to cater to their regulars and couldnt care any less for new patrons that are passing through the area and taking the time to stop by this place. they acted like it was a problem to provide drinks after the first round, which was probably because I didn't want to open a tab and chose to pay and tip each time. they could have made more money from me, but they refused service when I asked for a drink for my friend, and then proceeded to make racist statements towards other guests while I was there. dont go here, or anywhere associated with this business!
