What a treat to have such amazing food in June Lake! I came for lunch and some pastries yesterday and came again today for some more pastries! Could be the best we've ever had. Also, such a nice couple. We will be back when we come to June Lake again!

We enjoyed the popular carrot cake and lemon tart both were excellent. Highly recommend trying their homemade pastry.

Stopped in after hitting June Mountain— delicious paninis, phenomenal hot chocolate (as they said the homemade whipped cream makes it), and great service. The desserts looked unbelievable but had to resist, will definitely be back and am looking forward to trying a dessert.
Super cozy little place, everything made with love... you can feel it! We ordered the brownie and lemon scone, a panini and handmade granola... all so yum. Only take out orders.

My mother and I stopped into this little place after hiking in June, Lake. We were joking about the name, thinking that it was overly dramatic. When the food came, we weren't joking anymore, we were just nodding and looking at each other in agreement about at how incredibly good the food was. When in June Lake we always make at least one stop here and usually eat sandwiches or salads. Both are amazing, or epic you might say. When the café is baking bread, it is incredibly hard to resist buying whatever they are baking. I can't get food this good in the bay area.

Excellent lunch spot! Amazing carrot cake and Apple pie. Outdoor seating only with limited space, but very quaint. Service was wonderful. Very kind people.

Take out only in winter but hands down the best grilled cheese and tomato soup I’ve ever eaten. Carrot cake was out of this world and just what we needed after a cold hike up to Agnew Lake.
Lovely cafe owned by lovely people. The food there is fantastic. There's 1 dedicated parking spot for Epic Cafe customers but there's also plenty of street parking. There are so many different types of paninis and other sandwiches, the paninis come with a soup and when we went it was a delicious broccoli and cheese soup. They also offer many types of pies/cakes. I didn't see any seating inside, I believe it's sort of a takeout style cafe. If you want some great food, I highly recommend coming here.

Best tuna melt my husband or I have ever had ( and we eat out a lot). Do yourself a favor and stop here if you're visiting June Lake, or even if you are passing by on 395 it is worth the turn off, their baked goods are out of this world too. Highly recommend.

WOW......What a find in the June Lake area. A little cafe with great food and baked goods including many vegetarian dishes. I had the pulled pork panini with tomato soup. The wife had the vegetarian chili with cornbread. We both raved about our meals and we loved the lemonade too. Also, before you leave check the fresh baked pastries. The fresh baked apple pie is amazing with homemade whipped cream. We also took home a large chocolate chip cookie, carrot cake, and a yummy brownie. No wonder why this place has 5 stars . This is a must stop .

What a great little place for lunch. I recently stayed at June Lake and had lunch twice here. You order inside and either eat at the picnic tables outside or take away. The first day I had a quinoa salad that was excellent. It came with a balsamic vinaigrette. I had an Arnold Palmer (ice tea and lemonade.) The next time I had the half sandwich (various choices but I chose the grilled cheese panini) with soup of the day, tomato. Both were excellent. I think this was the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever tasted! The people running this cafe were super friendly and informative. Did I mention their desserts? OMG! Save room for them. They had a berry crumble (YUM), a giant gluten free chocolate chip cookie, cheese cake, a lemon bar and.....All the ones we sampled were divine! Check this place out when you visit June Lake.
