This was the worst cabin I have ever stayed in in my entire life. To start there were so many code violations- it was a fire hazard and human health hazard. No smoke detector, no carbon monoxide detector, no fire extinguisher. No exhaust vent in the bathroom, so the ceiling was full of mold. Large appliances plugged into extension cords (another fire hazard) and the customer service was terrible. Brought some of these issues up to the manager “Gladis” and she told us we should just leave if we didn’t like it but that she would not refund us. And when I asked for the owner of the establishments information she said she would not give it to me laughed at me and hung up on the phone.

I've been wanting to stay there for years, too much in a rush to get to Bridgeport. This year I'm aiming for Thanksgiving weekend to book a stay. I'll bring them food love from Ventura County as I do to Ken's sporting goods throughout the year.

So so so much wrong with this place. Go somewhere else if you want an actual nice lodge experience. Manager wasn’t even on site when we checked in, had to call. No AC in the room. They charged us for my service dog which is illegal and refuses to take the charge off. There is no restaurant on site. It’s next to a busy freeway, there are no TV in the room and barely any electrical outlets. Sprinklers were on all night long outside. Oh and don’t get their towels TOO dirty cause that’s not allowed either. Floor boards creak, and found several bugs. AVOID THIS PLACE not worth the price at all.

This place needs an update an $$$ invested to bring it into the 21st century. There's no TV in room and no onsite services. Not worth the money they are charging by any means. Nice lake view, however.

Take a moment to read this review—this place truly deserves it.
Whether you’re just passing through or looking for a base for your Yosemite adventure, this is the spot for you. Forget overpriced, depressing motels—this lodge is a true oasis in the desert. You’ll find yourself surrounded by greenery, with a stunning view of Mono Lake and just minutes from Lee Vining.

Beyond the exceptional kindness of the staff (which is always a plus), what really struck me was the quality of the environment. The rooms are tucked under well-maintained trees, immersed in a peaceful green setting that feels like a park. There are benches where you can relax, eat, or chat with fellow travelers—it’s the kind of place that instantly slows you down in the best way.

The cleanliness of the rooms is top-notch: soft, fresh towels, little decorative touches, and complimentary toiletries provided. There are plenty of parking spots, conveniently located right in front of the rooms.

And now, as any honest review should include, a couple of “less ideal” notes:
The lodge is located right along the highway—as you can see from the pictures and videos—so yes, you might hear the occasional car passing by. But honestly, it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t take away from the overall peace and charm of the place.

Cabin style lodging overlooking the road and Mono Lake. Cabin 2 has a queen bed, closet, a dining table, bath tub and sink, and microwave fridge. A porch and tables outside are available. No restaurant on site. You'll hear passing vehicles since the cabin is so close to the road.

Know before you stay: this is a great place to stay if you want to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of electronic devices and instead chill or engage with the people you're traveling with. Nice cabins across from mono lake. Great place to stay for viewing sunrise over the lake. Gladys is very nice and accommodating to personal requests. (I wanted a view of the sunrise over the lake). Beautiful garden with several places to sit and relax. Highway noise is loud depending on cabin assignment. There is Wi-Fi in the room but not great , no TV. We knew this and it was not an issue (even for the teen). Restaurant closed due to not enough staff, but close to several restaurants and Yosemite entrance. Super clean room, towels and blankets smell nice. I would stay here again but in the cabins that are towards the back. 4 stars because it's difficult to get into the property from the highway, find the registration office and highway noise from our cabin was an issue.

Location across US 395 from Mona Lake is great! Step out of your cabin and catch a stunning sunrise!
Beds were comfortable. Room was fine, just cooled by a portable swamp cooler which has to be refilled with water multiple times/day.
It is an older property which appears to be in the process of renovation. WiFi is provided.

This was a copy, clean little room with a great bath tub and good hot water. Amazing view of the lake from both the room and the lawn/porch, sunrise was gorgeous. There is a restaurant on site and lots of other options for dinner and breakfast 0.5 miles away in town. Lake a visitor center very convenient.

We stayed here for one night in September on our way to the national park. Amazing place. Clean, with a view of the lake across the road, there’s a small waterfall on the property, and the rooms are cozy and charming.

The room was nice. The view was of Mono Lake, very pretty. Comfortable bed. The bathroom was small and cramped. There was nowhere to put your bathroom supplies, the reason for the four stars.

Very small room without table and chairs, but with a sofa and a so small useless table. Beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake... shame about the road, busy and noisy even at night, just a few meters from the room.

Nearby activities: Home base for Yosemite at a good price, even if it's an hour's drive away

I booked the hotel on the incorrect day by mistake on the 16th instead of 2nd by mistake. When arriving (on the 2nd), the manager told me she would not modify the booking, or make a discount if I booked for the (correct) night.

I contacted expedia who called her. Eventually, she told them that she would agree to a refund of the erroneous booking if I made a new booking for the correct day.

After doing that, she refused to refund any of the stays. What a scam!!!!

Lodges located on the edge of Mono Lake. Comfortable and efficient, you have everything you need in the immediate vicinity of the Tioga entrance to Yosemite National Park. The only downside is the immediate proximity of the US395 road which is a little noisy but a good pair of earplugs will help you have a pleasant night! The highlight of the show, when you wake up, you will be able to admire a magnificent sunrise over Mono Lake.
