Hidden gem. Food comes out piping hot, their batter is crispy and delicious. I recommend dining-in for the best experience. This is not fast food so it is a 15 min+ wait but so worth it for the made to order freshness. They don't have huge portions and it is on the pricier side but I've never left feeling unsatisfied. I recommend the Fish and Oyster with fries.

Best Fish& Chips in SD period. Don't let the portion size fool you, I usually get a 2 piece fish and chips, it hits the spot. There is a bit of a wait time but everything is made to order and worth it.

I've spotted this place once when driving home from seeing the doc. So I had it in my mind to stop and get some lunch this time. Boy am I glad I did! The fish filets are huge and very tasty. I opted to get hush puppies instead of chips/fries. I wasn't disappointed. In today's market it wasn't cheap but well worth it. I'll be stopping here every chance I get! Delicious!!!

Quite possibly the best fish and chips I've had since the late 80's and 90s era Long John Silvers. Definitely a must to try at least once before they close in the next couple of years or so from what I heard. The owner is retiring. I'll be going back for sure before then at least dozen or so times lol

I live about 20 minutes away from Chef John's but when I want really good fish and chips I will always make the drive. Their fish and shrimp taste great and I like their big onion rings. My food is always ready when I arrive and the staff is really friendly.
