Closed at 4 on a Tuesday, so who knows what their actual hours are. It says that they are permanently closed on yelp I think.

I ordered my wedding cake and paid a deposit for and your phone number is disconnected and none got a hold of me. My wedding is in 2 weeks. Are you guys closed? If so please give me my deposit back and let me know right away so I can at least have a cake for my wedding.

Awful. Awful. Disgusting cake. Awful cake decorator. No one responded to my calls when I expressed dissatisfaction with service. Poorly run business. I am embarrassed to have even been a customer here. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I BEG YOU, STAY AWAY.

I ordered, 2 weeks prior to the event, (1) half sheet cake and (1) quarter sheet cake for my husband's birthday party. The cakes were ready at the requested time of pick-up and were decorated essentially as requested. I was disappointed overall however with the cake itself. All of Lemon Grove Bakery cakes, I was told, are 3 layer. I paid extra to have chocolate mouse between one cake layer and vanilla custard between the other cake layer and whipped cream frosting. For cakes, I chose one layer of chocolate, one layer of marble, and one layer of white for the 3 cake layers. The cake layers themselves were about 1.5" in height and unfortunately I did not find any of these to be very flavorful. Both the chocolate mouse and the custard fillings were only about 1/8"- 3/16" which I found to be very disappointing and insufficient. The frosting was more on the buttercream side than whipped cream. In addition, the frosting of the cake came about 2" into the cake from the edges all around leaving all slices around the full circumference of the cake without any mouse or custard at all. Our church happened to serve a cake today from Costco which was a 2 layer white cake with about 1" of custard filling and a very light whipped cream frosting and was decorated. The Costco cake was definitely superior to the one from Lemon Grove Bakery.

Haven't been in a few months. Right down from 'Thr Lemon" famous landmark of Lemon Grove. Bought slice of cheese cake; another time a sampling of several cookies and that's about all. They were good enough but I thought a tad high in price. There's not- or wasn't then, a big selection of baked goods, display limited. I saw only 1 person working then + 1 customer. If they added drinks (hot/cold coffee drinks, juices, something it'd be more. And a bigger variety, free samples ( cookie bits, slivers/bites cake, pie) it'd get more interest. Heck, Sheriff's Dept half blk down & I don't see them there. There's a front walled in patio- fix it for folks to gather. Add croissants filled: ham+cheese, fruit preserves.

Worst experience for my daughters 15th birthday cake.. It's been a while and ive just now had the courage to post. Cake delivered on time but definitely not the cake we ordered. And by the time it was delivered we had no choice. Cake order was placed with 1 person and that person knew exactly what we wanted last minute the order was given to someone else and it was horrible to see what was delivered.. Not even nice what so ever!! Would never order a cake from there I was so embarrassed as my daughter, it was suppose to be a memorable experience if I could put a picture I would but we had very minimal pics with that cake.. I dont understand what the hype is for that bakery...

They are closed down. Went by today and it's totally empty. We had a hankering for pie but I guess we'll have to go to Coco's or something. Sad the original owners sold in the first place now the replacement is gone. What are we gonna do lemon grove?!

Very lovely ladies that operate this place. A nice assortment of pastries, cookies and cakes. Prices are fair. We bought an eclair and a couple of cookies. Both yummy. However, if you're in the business of baking, attention to detail is key. Some of their baked goods were overbaked and even burnt around the edges.
