My wife and I were hosting a welcome party at a nearby bar, and we were recommended by a mutual friend about Sabor to cater the event. The business is run by a father/daughter team (Rebecca and Carlos) and they were good in their communication via email and text.
Their food was delicious, and at a good price. All of the meats were moist and flavorful. Their rice, beans, and grilled veggies were vegan as well, perfect for some of our guests. Rebecca and Carlos stayed the whole event to refill food/side dishes to make sure our party was well tended to.
Would highly recommended again. I hear they have a restaurant so whenever we are back in San Diego we will definitely pay them a visit!

We hired them for catering for our wedding welcome party. Carlos and Rebecca did such an amazing job!! Our guests loved the food! They stayed and provided service and refill for the 2 full hours plus an hour before to set up. Highly recommend hiring the team for your next gathering!!

On January 4th 2026 I tried this taco catering. As we all want and love best food to host our guests in our homes 😊I would like to express my honest and personal touch about the family of Sabor Mexican Grill. The owner Mr. Carlos Flowers and his assistant Miss Miriam, performed an excellent job serving us. It was an occasion for baptism of next door neighbor.They did amazing job with the food, with their attitude, with their smiling happy faces and their generosity and kindness of the amount of food. They came and set up at my sisters baby shower and were on time and stayed the entire time. Food was good!! Everyone loved it.
Hands down my vote for BEST CALIFORNIA BURRITO in the whole county!! Meat is flavored, cheese melts, and a huge portion! Plus they have the jalapeno green sauce that I dream about when I'm somewhere else... I don't work far so I come at least once a week for lunch.

Everything I've had here has been delicious. I particularly like their chile cheese tamales and their chile rellenos. Their jalapeno salsa is the best I've had in San Diego. It reminds of the salsas I used to get when I lived in Laredo, TX. Highly recommend!
