No dinner service but a full breakfast service. Large portions, well cooked and excellent coffee. Very good service too.

My husband and I stayed at The Heritage House and had both dinner and breakfast at 5200 while there. The crab cakes and caprese salad were fresh, light, and delicious. Breakfast was great and the coffee was SO GOOD. Our server was Peach and she was friendly, helpful, and attentive. She even had great recommendations for other spots to see in the area! Would definitely come back!

We just spent a very pleasant T-Day weekend at the Heritage House. HOWEVER, service in the restaurant was excruciatingly slow, with non-existent attention and customer service by the wait staff. Even taking into account the holiday weekend, this was an insult to all the well-paying guests who opted for a meal (any meal, we experienced the same at breakfast as at dinner) at the restaurant. So, net/net, stay at the resort, but skip the restaurant.

We were excited to be in this beautiful restaurant on Thanksgiving day for a buffet dinner but sadly ice cold food ruined our experience. The ambiance was first class and the food could have been delicious if it wasn't cold. We spent nearly $300 on drinks and buffet so I was sad when I mentioned to the waiter I would like my food heated up in the microwave and they declined. They said the chef had just added some warm food to the buffet so we tried that and again it was very cold so we didn't eat our food. I understand they were having some problems with their buffet tray heater. They could have made this right with us by heating up my food or by offering us a complimentary drink or reducing the bill but they did nothing to solve the problem. So sad when a problem could have been so easily fixed.

Food was not good at all; undercooked. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and delightful decor but all else paled when the meal was served

Maybe we eat out too often and expect more from restaurants. Maybe it's the fact that they failed to have our reservation held after I called twice (which is why we finally reverted to Open Table), or maybe it's just me feeling slighted after they failed to recognize our anniversary, which is why we picked this "romantic" spot to begin with. -But I find myself being over-critical of 5200 Restaurant after our experience. First and foremost, the property is dated. Very dated. If you are looking for a romantic spot - decide if you think dining in a brightly lit room is romantic. Totally killed the ambiance. On a positive, we were in a corner table - next to the windows. On a down note, the windows looked out into two other dining rooms who received the views. At least we didn't have someone seated right next to us. Then again, with 3 dining areas, and only 3 tables of people, I guess I shouldn't be giving them that much credit. The food was o.k. Steak was cooked to order, scallops were done correctly and not rubbery. I think they chose some weird side-dishes, but again, maybe that's just based on extensive dining experience. If I was a manager - there are about a dozen things I would change that would make the property more inviting and memorable to guest. If I was a couple looking for a nice romantic spot for an anniversary dinner - I would maybe look elsewhere.

Opentable Diner

Love this Inn and restaurant. Such a beautiful location over looking the ocean. 30 acres to walk and they allow dogs! Even in one section of the restaurant! But our Open Table coupon didn't work. The waiter said it wouldn't go through. Not happy with that.
