Came in for an early dinner for two. No wait to be seated. The ambiance was casual but classy. Relaxing music played in the background at a volume conducive to conversation. Romeo provided exceptional service and helped familiarize us with various menu options. We both ordered the 12-oz ribeye steak, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My onion rings were out of this world in terms of their size, taste and lightweight batter. In all, this was a memorable dining experience and one I absolutely look forward to enjoying again the next time we visit Livermore.

Food is mediocre. I was expecting more flavors in the food. Potatoes were undercooked. I asked for salsa and there was extra charge for a spoon of salsa. Not expected when you are spending $100+ for breakfast for 3 people. No wait.

My wife and I stopped lunch after a long flight home! We had only been here once before but after tasting our meals, we will gladly return!
The texas toast french toast with berries was the best I have ever eaten! The toast had a great strawberry sauce on it, with a hint of vanilla in the bread! The french toast was covered in various berries and banana pieces and came with whipped cream and a light dyrup. It was so juicy and tasty we never used the syrup. The waiter said they make it special there. I highly recommend it and the rest of their menu!&

My Girlfriend and I ate here during summer 2024 and it was great. Tonight we were trying to find a different restaurant rather then our usual places and then I remembered this place. I said we always forget about them. The first time it was great and tonight was even better. Service was on point and food was delicious. I've never seen onion rings the size of the ones they serve and they were delicious. The bacon burger 🍔 was absolutely fire. I highly recommend and we definitely will be back. Thank you for the great meal.

Excellent dinner experience. Received free Mexican coffee to try along with a ginger and grapefruit margarita. Service was unexpectedly exceptional. Not something you experience often nowadays.

Had breakfast there with my son. He had Eggs Benedict and I had a Berry Waffle Combo. The food was excellent and obviously made with care. Will definitely be going back!

A Hidden Gem Worth the Short Drive!
My wife and I have had breakfast at Calafia Kitchen three or four times now, and it’s become one of our favorite morning spots in Livermore. A little tucked away from the downtown hustle, this place is so worth finding. Their specialty coffee is excellent, and I can't get enough of the corned beef hash—it’s the perfect comfort food done right. My wife swears by their classic breakfast and is obsessed with the breakfast sausage.
What really makes this place special is the warm, attentive service. Romeo is our go-to server—friendly, knowledgeable, and always makes us feel right at home without hovering. We loved learning the story behind the name “Calafia,” too.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the menu is full of delicious choices (we can't wait to come back for lunch and dinner), and every visit feels like we’re part of the Calafia family. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for real food, friendly people, and a great start to the day!

This may be the most disappointing food I have eaten in a really long time. The guac was pure salt. The tacos well I don’t know if that can be considered a taco. Just awful bland tasting food.
