Took one bite, tasted weird- just not good, chicken tasted like beef, something was up, plus it looked like a kid ate it and spat it back out, it was pulverized. Took it back, Said it wasn't good, asked for a refund (only a small bite was taken) and was refused. It was a half sandwich, and only part of a larger order. Any business that won't refund when there's a complaint about quality is some place I will never go back. Tossed it in the trash and left. I will say we have come here before without quality issue but we have had incorrect orders remade. Last time the sandwich I got didn't taste the best either but it was a different style so I thought maybe that was the issue.. Definitely an overall down turn in quality in the last year. This wasn't our first order, we've frequented here and the Pleasanton location, but it was definitely the last purchase from this brand. Just lost more than one customer because of it!

I had the classic cheesesteak and it was just ok. I can see how some people really like them so it’s just a preference thing. The bell peppers seemed pickled, rather than grilled or sautéed, which I wasn’t expecting. The steak is chopped super fine instead of just sliced, so it’s like a ground beef texture. If I had to guess, I’d say they keep the chopped steak in liquid in a warmer, which means the bun is also soaked with liquid. The flavor was pretty good, and seasoned but not overly salty.I really like that they wrap the sandwich in foil so you can peel it back and not get your hands covered in grease. It also makes it super easy to just cut the whole thing in half, foil and all.The curly fries were. Nice and crispy.

What I ordered and what Ubereats transmitted to you, I have no control over. In any case, $5.94 for nine fries? Call it large/medium/small ... call it what you like, you charged me almost $6 for what amounts to about 1/4 or a potato. Beyond that, if a third-party is not representing the value of your product, why are you doing business with them? Assuming what you assert is true, they are tarnishing your image. I have no way of knowing they are adding 25% onto my order. I ordered from your page on UE. You're telling me UE maintains your menu on their platform? I seriously doubt that. Those prices are defined by your company. If you are going to increase the price of your items to compensate for what Uber may be charging you, you should disclose that. I'm sure your explanation was intended to appease me. It did the opposite.

Waited 45 min for one sandwich and I promise you it is not busy here. Maybe 4 people in front of me... and I ordered the king, they skimped out on ingredients heavy. Avoid and honestly just go to mr pickles or subway way cheaper and better service.

I came in to The Cheese Steak Shop for lunch today and it was so good and on point. Everything was fresh and hot, service was friendly and quick. I like coming here 1 x per month, today's meal was perfect!
Definitely not the place to go to for vegan or vegetarian food, but the fries were good, which is about all we could get there. Employees were really friendly, when we called before we arrived to ask if onion rings were free of animal products - eggs/milk - the kind gentleman with whom we spoke checked and informed us they contained milk & apologized. We thank him for letting us know and being so pleasant about it. Free parking lot, interior looked clean & comfortable, they do have the best sweet peppers we've ever had!

I've been coming to the Cheesesteak shop since the 90's. I stop into the Livermore one for takeout on my way home every now & then as it's right off highway 580. I came most recently on Friday the 12th for a few cheesesteaks. My go to is the mushroom cheesesteak, light onions, hot & sweet peppers. To me you kind of have to go light on those or it just makes the sandwich too big. I always get the king, as it's more meat & more cheese. Now if I'm having these 3-4 times a year, I'm going to do it right and get the king. Cheesesteak shop to me is best version of cheesesteak you can get in NorCal, most other places lack in either meat, cheese, bread quality or combos of those. I'll keep coming here, they have good cheesesteaks and are a convenient location too.
