Food is mid, small portions and quite expensive (have tried fine dining before and it is not nearly as good as the price point). Servers kind of ignored us in favor of other customers that they were acquainted with already. Did not feel like it was a good experience overall, would try the other places in Livermore if you want expensive / good food with decent portions. It is just OK for Japanese American fusion (more on American side) but the portions are like 20 dollars for a sample basically. Not recommended

EDIT: Hi Franny, the 5 star review for Denny's is for service which was not present at the time of my dining experience. It seems you are not open to feedback which is unfortunate.

Cured Fish Bar is Livermore’s hidden gem.
My gf and I couldn’t believe this establishment has been around for a year. We’re such foodies and we had not heard/noticed this place until a friend recommended it. And wow, this place didn’t disappoint! This place may not be a full-blown sushi place but they have a great selection of fresh seafood. We had the Caesar salad, fresh oysters, the flavorful chilled marinated mussels, delicious halibut sashimi, super yummy anchovy toasts, each had a cup of chowder and sake! The place has a great vibe - perfect place for date night, friends meetups and when you’re feeling for some fresh seafood. We highly recommend the place!

My friend and I dined here for the first time and were absolutely blown away! The oysters were amazing, so fresh and flavorful—and everything else we tried was just as delicious. The fish in particular tasted incredibly fresh, and every dish was bursting with flavor. The service was exceptional from start to finish, making the whole experience feel like a real treat. We can't wait to go back!

Food exceptionally prepared. Don’t come starving. The portions are small and or the menu doesn’t carry any heavy hitters. Imagine a tasting menu with multiple courses but have to share. I wish they had more “filling” options. Flavor profiles are great. No complaints. Research the photos or ask portion sizes. Photos below was split between two adults.

I broke the seal on this hidden gem the other day and I regret not doing so earlier! It's the best culinary experience I've ever had in Livermore (and I've been here since '89). We Incredible saké selection on top of A+ raw bar experiences, plus leveled-up more traditional bites for those who are working their way towards raw. are so fortunate Cured has graced the Tri Valley, can't wait to go back regularly.

This is a very special restaurant. Excellent quality food in a beautiful space. One dish you absolutely have to try is the Caesar salad. It is the most incredible Caesar salad I have ever had, I literally had dreams about it after trying for the first time. If you're enthusiastic about local supporting local, Cured tops the salad with breadcrumbs from Wingen bread and parmesan from the Cheese Parlor - the best. Ok now to the oysters and fish, quick summary: phenomenal. The unique flavors and textures in their dishes are so delightful and exciting. The oysters rotate but there's always a few offerings. My partner and I like to order a few of each type to do a fun comparison of size, flavor, texture. The ponzu sauce that accompanies the oysters is AMAZING.

I recommend visiting during their happy hour and giving them a try. Also keep your eye out for their special flights and dinners, they're unbelievably tasty and fun!

Awesome place to get fresh fish and a great conversation. Sake flights are solid, too.

Cured is a true gem! This is a small, intimate restaurant with an excellent eye for detail and quality. The owners, Franny and Joe are culinary and service experts, and put so much effort into creating memorable dining experiences. The cuisine is Japanese adjacent with a west coast twist. I loved the halibut sashimi. It was dressed with extra virgin olive oil, and this really brought out the fat of the halibut and was so savory and balanced. Go treat yourself! <3
