Amazing food, quaint family owned. They were very accommodating to my son's gluten allergy, making a special batch of spinach for him to make sure he was safe. Delicious food, kind people. 100% recommend.

Owned by brothers and has multiple locations, we frequent Livermore the most.

Have tasted everything on the menu. Our go to order every time we go: teka kabobs, mantoo and potato bolani.

This is comfort food. Warm, nicely favored, good balance of tastes, and a good serving size. Each dish is $15-$30 (for an appetizer, two entrees, and a tip, we paid around $70).

So good! Everything that came on our kabab plates were delicious. Fresh, zesty, well balanced, and seasoned to perfection. If I lived closer I would eat here every week. Great service and they were very kind!

This simple food cost me a solid 25$ bucks

With the same amount I can buy an entire restaurant in Texas, and on top of that the lady was eye balling me for a tip

Perfect place for bland food. Kabli Palow rice were not fresh we’re thrown on top a lamb shank - all tasteless and bland.

This place is so good. Every dish we had was perfectly cooked and seasoned, both meat and veggies. Chicken kabob was incredible. Nice little sit down place for family.

Vegetarian options: Variety of options, although no kebobs, only curry-type dishes

Kid-friendliness: Kids did not think kebobs were too spicy

Here's a review of what we got:
* borani banjan - eggplant appetizer which was good but not particularly remarkable
* triple kabob - since we haven't eaten here in years, we decided to order this to sample their kabobs. Chicken was our favorite followed by the rightfully famous chaplee kabob with beef not only being the least favorite but a mental note not to order again
* dough drink - always good
* sheer chai - absolutely delicious and btw, I'm not a fan of chai so this says a lot

Overall, we'll definitely be back again to try other menu items!

This is the best Afghan restaurant in whole of Bay Area. Go for a 3 course meal starting with Bolani’s. Kabob and Kabuli rice as main and end with something sweet.

I recently visited De Afghanan Kabob House in Livermore, and it was a delightful culinary experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel like I had stepped into a cozy, traditional Afghan home.

The food is absolutely amazing. I started with the Bolani, a perfectly crisp and savory stuffed flatbread that was bursting with flavor. For the main course, I had the lamb kabob, which was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The rice that accompanied the dish was aromatic and cooked just right. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh.

The service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They were also happy to answer questions and provide recommendations, which added to the overall experience.

One of the highlights was the authentic Afghan tea, which was the perfect way to end the meal. The balance of flavors and spices was just right, and it left me feeling completely satisfied.

If you're in the Livermore area and looking for a place to enjoy authentic Afghan cuisine, I highly recommend De Afghanan Kabob House. It's a gem that offers not only delicious food but also a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
