Thursday night dinner, party-of-5 adults, I had to drop everyone at the curb because the angle parking spots along both sides of First Street were filled. I eventually parked 2 blocks north in one of the last unmarked spaces in the gravel lot behind Stockman's Park, and walk between other business lots & buildings to get back to the restaurant. All that is offered just to inform future customers.

Lemongrass has a small sidewalk dining area that was full when we arrived, so we ate inside in a dining space that reminded me of a tavern (low ceiling, dark paneling, low light). The service was attentive but slow, with a steady stream of carryout orders being filled along with attention to other eat-in diners. The dishes we enjoyed were Crispy Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay, Tom Yum soup, Sweet & Sour Trout (Pla Sam Rod) and Special Prawn. The Pad Thai was average. Overall a good meal, and sitting outdoors would have improved it.

Pathetic service and very arrogant ladies who were serving food.. I wouldn’t recommend this place as there are much better Thai restaurants around Livermore and Pleasanton area!!

I’m giving one star for service due to my disappointing experience with the ladies at the front desk. They were not welcoming and came across as quite arrogant, which really affected my visit.

The food was good, but unfortunately, the poor customer service makes me hesitant to return!!

I ordered a pineapple fried rice, The taste is good.

There were only 2 people taking orders and bringing out food when we visited for the first time. The greeting was not friendly. I think this is the first mistake. The food was good but the service and friendliness of this establishment was, in my opinion, below what I had expected.

Lemon Grass in downtown Livermore offers a decent dining experience with food that is overall satisfactory. The dishes are flavorful, but where the restaurant falls short is in the portion size of their sides, particularly the rice. While I’m fine with paying $4 for a side of rice, the portion served is quite underwhelming—literally equivalent to just 2-3 tablespoons. It feels insufficient, especially when rice is a staple component for many of their dishes.

If you’re looking for a good meal, Lemon Grass can deliver in terms of taste, but be prepared for the potential disappointment of small portions, particularly when it comes to the rice. For the price, the quantity should definitely be more generous.

Overall, the food is enjoyable, but the value for money when it comes to sides could be improved.
