The food was great and the service was fantastic. Waiter Jerry is an asset to the restaurant. He made my daughter's 21st birthday an experience she will never forget! Bravo!!!

This was my second time dining for brunch at Porter's and the food and ambiance will keep me coming back for more. The staff is super friendly and the views of PoppyRidge golf course are beautiful.

Have been going since the golf course opened and had wonderful lunches. Take visitors from out of town who have been really impressed. Great servers and hostesses. Usually once a month we enjoy our lunches as a treat. Pricing very good for quality. Thank you.

Porter's Restaurant is at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course. I have been there a number of times, mostly for lunch, but this time went for brunch/breakfast. Food and service were excellent. I had their specialty Corned Beef Hash - absolutely the best I have ever had. The restaurant overlooks the golf course which is up on a hill and the views are beautiful and calming! Great place to also grab a glass of wine, sit outside and enjoy the view.

Our server Kayce is so wonderful. She is very attentive, friendly, and very pleasant. The view is also spectacular. The atmosphere is just so relaxing. We always love having weekend brunch at Porter's.

My family and I decided to try this restaurant last weekend and we were pleasantly surprised with the food and staff. The food was delicious: our eldest son ordered the country fried steak; our younger son ordered the BBQ bacon and cheddar burger; my husband ordered the House-cured New York style pastrami; and I ordered the Louisiana Rock shrimp pasta. The staff were accommodating and polite and checked on us frequently. We will be back!

Honestly, I was more taken in with the scenic view than the food. The service was nice, but the food was average. We both had hamburgers which were good, but the fries and onion rings were marginal, and reminded us of pub food. For how much the lunch cost, we expected better. The Malbec was excellent, and we had a good time catching up.

Our group has been coming to Porter's for 4 years now. The staff always goes out of there way to make us feel welcomed and valued. It has been just right for our groups of 12-16 people. Thanks!

Went here last Sunday after reading their reviews & scanning over the brunch menu. The view & the French fries were the only good thing about our experience. We walked into the expansive dining room to find it near empty with a good view of Livermore valley yet the food overall was lacking. We arrived at the cutoff of brunch only to be offered their lunch menu. Too bad as we wanted brunch. My pal ordered a bloody mary + the blue coat burger that came with optional sides, that was alright although when she was donebwith her boozy beverage the waitress neglected to ask if she wanted another My fiance ordered the club that by no means was outstanding, mediocre at best & even though there were left overs no one wanted them leaving me with the Black Forest ham sammie that come to find out did not come with any sides as their version is served in a shallow bowl of tomato basil soup. Who wants their sammie to sit in soup to become wet? Wacky. The bizarre thing about this sammie is what they serve was only a half of it not the whole thing. Went into the restaurant hungry & left hungry.

We had out of town company and decided to have brunch. Poppy ridge is close and has a nice view from the back patio so we decided to go there. The weather was great to sit out and everyone enjoyed the food. The service was fantastic.

I had a good business lunch at noon on Friday. Sat outside on the terrace with a great view of the golf course and although it was a nice day the terrace cover made it even more enjoyable. The special crab cakes were delicious and the service was prompt and attentive. Tables filled up within 15 min of arrival so if you want to sit outside on a nice day.. ..rsvp.

Took our bestie for her birthday and had a wonderful time! Good food professional service and a beautiful day on the course. We were not rushed out and enjoyed a nice long chat after we finished our lunch. Every time I have been there the food is good and so is the service. I love taking friends from out of town and it is a great value for your dollar and of course the full bar is wonderful and they have the best iced tea! Loving the new dinnerware as well! Thanks for a lovely experience.

Took a friend to this restaurant at Poppy Ridge Golf Course for her birthday. What a disappointment! Service was terrible. Nobody to meet and seat you. We had to finally grab a waitress to get seated. Then another 10 minutes to get a menu. We ordered 2 different salads, specifically avoiding one that contained spinach greens. Guess what? Both of our salads were served on spinach greens although they were not specified in the salad descriptions. The Thai beef salad contained beef that was tough, sinewy, and barely chewable. The dining room is cavernous and uninviting. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! To top things off, the restaurant reported us as a "no-show" to Open Table.

It's a gorgeous spot. Had a reservation, the hostess was polite and cheery. Had the enchilada soup, rubbery chicken couldn't finish the bowl. I had the French dip, which had the foulest horseradish aioli I have ever tasted. The bread was fresh, which is nice. The server was either over worked or didn't care. Much to my irritation, my soda remained empty. And it took forever to get the bill. I won't be back.
