Everything! Great staff, awesome drinks! I wish you weren’t closing…?

Three takeaways for ya: the filet melt, full bar, and bomb beer battered fries!!!!! I came on 11/27/21 during their brunch hours/menu offering and it was easy to get a table inside. I ordered the filet melt and it was so fricken good. I appreciated the stuffed meat in the sandwich and the mushroom aioli inside *drooling* I would def recommend ordering this if you're a first timer here and then have a foodie partner order something else and share! Portions are great!!! Ordering a sandwich comes with a choice of: side salad, truffle fries, sweet potato tater tots, onion rings, or regular beer battered fries I tried a bite of the salmon sandwich and I've had better. I would pass on it. I also mooched a sip of the kiwi margarita from my sister-in-law and enjoyed it! Also, if you want to bring a bottle of wine, it's a $25 corkage fee. FREE corkage if it's a Livermore wine bottle. Their brunch menu looks really good so BRB! That pork belly eggs Benedict is calling my name... So random, but the decor inside (chairs, floors, wall art) just don't match the type of cuisine/ambiance, but that has nothing to do with my experience with the food lmao. Still come and support this great Livermore establishment!!!

Had pork belly egg Benedict. I think best part is the breakfast potato, egg is perfect, pork belly need a little more help, my son order rusty burger with trifle fries. Again fries is outstanding. Service is great. Except they ran out of equal only the pink packets. A bite on pricy side

Being from the south I have some pretty high standards for Potato Gratin and it seemed like they weren't cooked quite long enough. Same with the Squash/Zucchini. The steak was good though, cooked perfectly and delivered with awesome presentation.

I do not recall the name of their new pasta dish but it was AMAZING! Egg noodles, light tomato sauce, cheese and fresh veggies. You never got tired of the flavor like on other dishes. The bloody Mary was good and with it. The staff was friendly but slow to greet you and not over attentive. We had to wait on water refills.often and was well past half way through our meal before the staff made sure everything was okay. Also had to wait a while to get silverware after our meal was delivered. I will say the food made up for the lack of attention and it may or may not have been a one off bad day

I have enjoyed Rusty's every time I have gone. Their cocktails have always been on pointe. The issue is that there has been a mistake with someone's food in the party every time. Last time it was mine. I ordered my lamb burger medium rare and it came out a solid well done. If they could nail the food even a few times, I would feel better about recommending them.

Good food, but the worst service in town.Plenty of service staff, but none seemed to be trained.Reservations for 5, but seated at a table for 4, menus and setups for 3...

So I hear from many businesses that let's be clear ( experienced help) is hard to find. Tonight was the perfect example. We had a reservations for 5 people and the young man working the front of the house to greet us sat us down and gave us silverware for three??? Let's be clear we were a party of five. Our server was gorgeous but had no experience and was nervous. My heart ached for this guy. I think a good manager may help him along but felt management was not present on this day. Shrimp Cesar salad had no croutons, and drink order was delayed because it was forgotten. The filet melt was very good as well as the fries but that doesn't make up for poor service. To many good choices for food and solid service in town we will probably not be back.

Great selection of apps. The brussel sprouts are some of the best!

My experience at Rusty's was everything I craved for in a steak house. My steak was cooked perfectly, the summer sour is a new favorite, and the service was very homey and relaxed yet prompt.

Rusty's just might be a hidden gem on First St! I've visited downtown many many times and this was our first time visiting Rusty's. Our table of 4 visited on a Saturday around noon for brunch and were met with a great experience. The restaurant is nestled into First St and has nice outdoor dining as well. We sat inside because it was a hot day. The inside of the restaurant is decorated very classy! Really nice paintings and it was a clean restaurant. The service was good and the food was incredible! My sister in law and I ordered pineapple mimosas which were very refreshing for the morning. My husband ordered an Irish coffee, it was a bit strong but he liked it. My brother in law ordered a wake up call and really enjoyed it. Onto the food - we were so impressed! Everything was packed with flavor and very fresh. My husband and I ordered 2 vegetarian Benedict's, one with potatoes and one with fruit. They were soo yummy - the fruit was so fresh and the potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. My SIL ordered the eggs Benedict and loved hers, as well. My BIL ordered the breakfast burrito and loved it, the cream tasted fresh and the ingredients didn't make him feel sluggish like some other heavy burritos do. One thing I'd say is that the eggs in the benedicts were not poached to perfection. They were all a little extra cooked and not as runny as expected. Either way they tasted great, though! Rusty's is so good for brunch, we can only imagine how good it is for dinner! My husband and I are excited to come back for date night.

Overall a great experience. I brought my family here to celebrate one of us getting a new job. The wine and cocktail selections were great. The cocktails are reasonably priced, decently strong, yet well balanced. I highly recommend the pineapple upside down one. Their fries are top notch! Definitely get them as appetizers. I also really enjoyed the brussels sprouts. We all ended up ordering steaks, both the filet and the new york strip. Both are amazing in their own way. Not sure what else to say then definitely order them. I really like this place and I hope to come back again very soon!

First, kudos to Monica. She helped make the evening pretty wonderful. Thank you for the cocktail suggestion. We are now fans of the Coastal G & T. Date night dinner consisted of a perfect salad, chilled, nicely dressed and fresh. The Australian waygu beef was cooked to perfection. Served on a bed of crispy Brussel sprouts, fingerling potatoes and diced bacon, with a truffle sauce that was light and rich. Steven Kent Cab was the wine for that meal. Could not leave without apricot bread pudding. Lucky us, to have this superb restaurant in Livermore. Date night, Wednesday night, is on the calendar.

We were here for lunch after my daughter's softball game. Staff was friendly, drinks and food were great. We'll definitely return.
