Sangeeta's Livermore is a great place to go for delicious Indian vegetarian food. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, but my favorites are the dosa, idli, badam milk, and mango lassi. The dosa is a thin crepe made from fermented rice and lentil batter. It is typically served with sambar (a lentil and vegetable stew) and chutneys (a variety of savory and sweet sauces). The dosa at Sangeeta's is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The sambar is flavorful and the chutneys are delicious. The idli is a steamed cake made from fermented rice and lentil batter. It is typically served with sambar and chutneys. The idli at Sangeeta's is light and fluffy, and the sambar and chutneys are just as delicious as they are with the dosa. The badam milk is a sweet milk drink made with almonds, milk, sugar, and spices. It is a refreshing and delicious drink that is perfect for a hot day. The badam milk at Sangeeta's is rich and creamy, and it is the perfect way to cool off on a hot day.The mango lassi is a sweet yogurt drink made with mangoes, yogurt, sugar, and spices. Dosa ordered was very tasty.. It was served on our table in no time.. Very prompt service... If they can improve the atmosphere a little more..i think that will be great.

We visited this place couple of times with our friends. Service is very fast . You will get good south indian breakfast from here.

Food is very fresh and good in taste. Onion Rava masala dosa is must to try. Tifin combo have variety but all of them are good.

Went with whole family of 6 members. Ordered vada, rasam vada, cheese dosa, set dosa, masala dosa. None of the items were good, neither tasted better. Deeply disappointed. Sambar very poor quality, vada was not cooked well, they just warmed it up and served, as if we could not make it out. Set dosa to my surprise, it lost its identity. Was yellow in color, no taste, so huge in size. They are making money with this kind of poor quality food served to us. Please keep up the south indian food taste. Wasted money!!Won't visit again

I didn’t like it. Being a South Indian, I know what good dosa/vada taste like, hence my rating. Also, it would be nice if the guy overseeing the place smiles back at customers and not give them a cold, unwelcoming stare.

Had mini meals and Special Thali. Looks like the food is bit sweet and no spice at all. I felt garam masala added in sambar, more kuzhambhu and poriyal. Rasam is flat. As a South Indian food lover this place I felt food is more like a North Indian meal. Hope somebody who want less spicy and garam masala they might likes it. Other than that restaurant service is nice.

Most satisfying South Indian meal we have had after a VERY long time. Food is incredibly delicious and feels like a tambrahm mami has cooked food at home- super light yet full of flavor! If you're looking for food that makes you miss home food, this is the place!

I have fond memories of Sangeetha food growing up in Chennai. When they opened the restaurant in South Bay I had dined once and came away with less than satisfied. I chalked this up to my own nostalgia rather than the quality of food. So I suggested the new Sangeetha at this Livermore location and my disappointment continues not having a decent South Indian in the East Bay.First, the test of any good South Indian restaurant is their coconut chutney. The chutney here came from a refrigerator cold and tasteless. The idlis and dosas were decent and sambar was also disappointing in the flavors and taste department. Pongal was swimming in ghee and not the quality I expected. The Thali we ordered was also not satisfying in the quality of South Indian flavors - very watery rasam, sambhar bland and gulab jamun (why?) dry.The saving grace is service. Very friendly and often asked how the food tasted. I was too busy to start a conversation and I left with a polite nod - very unlike me when it comes to food.

This south indian food joint in Livermore is decent. We tried the medu wada, ghee podi idli, butter masal dosa and mysore dosa here.I found the medu wadas pretty oily here as if they were refried. The ghee podi mini idlis were nice. My husband really liked the butter masala dosa here however the mysore masala I tried wasn’t that great. The mysore masala typically has a green or a red chutney spread but this one had a yellow coconut chutney spread which I didn’t enjoy much. The sambar and white chutney served here are pretty decent. Overall an average experience, don’t mind going back though.

Been regular customers to Sangeetha Sunnyvale and were sad that it closed its doors during Covid wave. So imagine our joy when we rediscovered our old joint in a cozy corner of Livermore. The best South Indian eatery in this part of town for sure.

Ordered their mini lunch combo and filter coffee. Coffee was good, lunch combo was ok but not that great!! May be I had high expectations. Some type of Jeera/pulao rice and yogurt rice , both were not tasting good.

What an awesome find this place is. Didn’t know about it until this weekend. We usually drive down to South Bay for our dosa fix. This is hands down best South Indian food in east bay. I tried their tiffin. The mini dosa was really flavorful and the pongal was just heaven. I would say I have fluffier idlis but the sambhar more than made up for it. Filter coffee was strong smooth and served at the right temperature. Definitely going back there many times. Small suggestion - they should serve sambhar in larger bowls. After three times I didn’t want to ask again. Having said that, I do have more sambhar than average people.

I always get excited about dosas, especially masala dosas. I ended up ordering two masala dosas and two Kara dosas to go. They were very uninspired unfortunately. The masala dosas had almost no masala while the distinguishing feature for the Kara dosa was that it had no masala at all. Portion sizes were a bit on the small size. I've been trying to places where a masala Dosa can feed almost two people. The sambar and red sauce were ok though.

They are soaking the food in oil not for taste but to persevere it for couple days.Being vegetarian I was very happy to see this restaurant in east bay but totally disappointed and they are spoiling the name “Sangeetha”. Worst of all was the sambar and coconut chutney. What a disappointing.
