Such a great experience. My first time visiting. Will be back
Been here 3 times now since a family member is a wine club member. This is just a small tasting room, but their usually not packed and have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a section in the back that is for members only. There is only 1 bathroom though so plan accordingly.
They always start you off with a welcome glass of sparkling wine then you choose your tasting. There's 2 teasing options, a normal $20 or a higher end $60 one. Each with 4 normal sized pours, which are all given at once in little caraffes so you can taste at your own pace. Their wines are high quality, more red heavy, but they have a variety. Their style is more earthy, bold, barrel aged reds.
Service is always good. They allow outside food. Street parking is not too difficult. Check them out
Solid! Absolutely solid wine. The type where there wasn't really anything wrong with any of the wines. The type where you are pretty tempted to join because you just agree with how the winemaker is making wine. Going to have to come back again here to try the flight again after their next release to see if lightning strikes twice, in which case we'll have to join. Highly recommend if you're at the complex and trying to decide which of the little tasting rooms to check out. Also, if you do decide to join, they dedicate a lot of their space to a members only lounge in the bac, which is pretty fun.Loved the barbera wines the most - both the sparkling and the rose. Bought a few bottles of rose, which is rare because I find rose wine the most boring and one dimensional. But this rose of barbera was fun and interesting.
Really enjoyed the casual atmosphere here, and Vijay knows his stuff! It was a pleasure having him as our server, even though he’s a Packers fan. ? Wine was excellent!
Exceptional wines and service. As Always Steven, Beth and team are masters at what they do. A resident sommelier Vijay! What more can you ask for in a winery.
Steven, Beth and the rest of the winemaking team make arguably the best Bordeaux wines out of Livermore Valley. They are also revolutionizing some of the Loire red (Cab Franc) with one of the best you will try in California. Their sparkling Barbera is unusual and delightful and even made in the traditional method. I've tried many overly sweet sparkling wines in Livermore. This is not one of those. It is drier and the most complex one I've tried yet in Livermore. They have accessible wine club options with benefits that outweigh the costs of membership.
I was in a group of 7 that participated in the "Private Salon Experience with Resident Sommelier!".
This was hands down one of the most memorable wine tasting experiences I have ever had, and I have had many. What made it so special was VJ, our Resident Sommelier. He was such a pleasure to learn from, extremely knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun! He answered all of our questions and had great stories! I cannot say enough great things about him!
The room the tasting happens in is so elegant and beautiful. We sat down to a table served with 4 tastings. Each unique for their history and flavors.
There is also a door that opens to a deck with a gorgeous view of the vineyard.
I am so grateful I was able to have this experience and I think all wineries should offer it! It is truly the first class way of tasting wine! "Coach" will just never be the same again.
Worth every penny and more! I highly recommend if you are in town! Truly a one of a kind experience!

Awesome wines and people
We were left alone at the table for over 20 min without anyone attending to us. No water, no wine. We are led to the table by a lady and just left us there. Not friendly winery. Bad experience.

We were here for the Steven Kent Mirassou book signing. Great apps, superior wine, and such a wonderful family. So much love and good times. Steven is the real deal. He is a special person, so considerate and attentive. His whole family is amazingly gracious.
The wines are excellent. Highly drinkable now and great for the cellar. The top end selections like the Premier Cab and the Lineage Bordeaux blend have gotten 100 point scores and are among the best in the world. There are many good and great wineries in Livermore and Steven Kent Winery and The Lineage Group are at the pinnacle of the latter. My favorite wines (after the two mentioned above) are the Single Vineyard Series cabs. Each one is unique and vary from year to year but the nuanced style of Steven Mirassou provides a point of view for each. The winery has had a bit of a hospitality makeover that was interrupted by COVID but I did get a visit to the new Lineage Salon beforehand and it offers a beautiful high-end tasting experience rivaling a great premium Napa tasting. Our visit on the patio (due to COVID) was hospitable and relaxed with four nice wines and a couple of bonus pours as well. I'd recommend a reservation by calling in advance especially in these times when openings and closings are happening frequently.
At the Ritz-Carlton and they served up your wine. So good!! We are definitely going to come by the winery!
I went to pick up my wine today because they're not opened to the public yet. They're be open this Friday. Need to make reservation. The wine is excellent. I've been a member since 2003 and I love their wines.
When you walk into Steven Kent I feel as though I’m going to see family, well at least family that has fabulous wine! We have been club members for many years now and will stay that way. Thank you Steven Kent family.
