The food was awesome! They have loaded array of bourbons to choose from. Decent prices to make a good selection. The bartender was wonderful. No wait on table during happy hours, which was a surprise. It was at the tail end, but great service. I would recommend trying the pear quesadilla. It was a hard pick but great flavor.

Bummer the waiter forgot out a Fondue, but the Cajun pasta and short ribs were spectacular. We also had the amazing pumpkin bread pudding. Flavor flavor flavor. Can't wait to go again.

Absolutely amazing experience! Cannot say enough about the service, food and atmosphere. Great variety of cocktails, takes awhile to decide what to get because there are so many delicious options. We tried the porkchop and the Cajun chicken pasta. We had the hushpuppies as an appetizer. Completely addicting! I had the prickly pear margarita and my husband had the whiskey sour. We can't wait to go back!

I’ve eaten at Peasant and the Pear in Danville. Excellent reception, service, and food. Went to Bourbon and Pear today. Yep, they judge books by their cover. Should have walked out after I walked in. Food was so-so. Won’t be returning. I tip well, but won’t spend money on folks that pre-judge.

The bourbon chicken was delicious, brussel sprouts & drinks were amazing. I loved the atmosphere, my only feedback is our waiter Joseph did not introduce himself to us when he came up to our table, and his customer service was just a 5/10 it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best experience I had either. It won’t prevent from me returning I would just say that maybe coach him on the importance of customer service.

We love coming here. We have always had a great experience with food, drinks and staff. Today was exceptional! We had an amazing experience tonight. We asked for a request and understood if it wasn’t feasible but the bartender and front of house made it work. Absolutely love the food and the service is always above and beyond. Mathew and Cynthia were amazing! Highly recommend!

My party of six arrived at 3:30 on 9/6/25. I had looked at the menu online beforehand and was excited to try the menu. The place was not too crowded at the time we were there. Most of the food was relatively good tasting, though some things were somewhat overpriced and one person thought their sandwich was bland as it seemed to have no sauce or dressing on it whatsoever. In general, we were satisfied with the food. The biggest complaint we had was the lack of service from our waiter/server. Once he took our order, that was pretty much the last we saw of him. No drink refills, no checking to see how we were doing, no asking if we needed take-home boxes (we did). Finally, my friend flagged down what was either the manager or maybe owner to assist us with getting drink refills, with paying our bill and getting our food to go. Because we were a party of six, the gratuity/tip was already included and quite honestly was more than we would have given, if we'd had the choice based on the lack of attention our table received from the wait staff. I'm not ready to write off this restaurant yet, but if we get the same lack of service next time, I definitely won't give it a third chance.

I wish I had read the reviews before we stopped in for lunch today. Our waitress was nice and comped half our meal and we tipped her based on the original price. But we waited over thirty minutes for our sandwiches while other tables got their food. The waitress knew we had been waiting and said for some reason the kitchen only just started the catfish. We each ordered side salad which was basically mesclun that was wilting with a few shaved carrots on top. My husband said the catfish was tasty. The Grand Mere was okay. From other reviews it seems there is a management issue.
