The Grill at Wente Vineyards

Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who proceeded to make a joke that was a little off putting and some people might have taken it as offensive. I'm sure it was his attempt at making a joke but its not the type of joke to greet 3 women with. The food was good as well as the service but this "greeting" just didn't sit well with us and influenced our lunch. I expected more from the Wente name.

It was a beautiful day out, so that was the best part. It's been a long time since I've eaten out at Wente. I was disappointed. While it was all OK, it was not as nice as I remember it. The food was fine, a bit pricey for what you get. They may have been understaffed which is not our waiters fault. We likely wont be returning.

The server customer service needs huge improvement. I understand that menu is more of protein but other people needs veggies too. When I asked couple of alternatives-, straight no. Try saying can I check or let me see what I can do. Im sure training on customer service can be improved. Location wise, golf course looks wonderful.
EV charging will be beneficial for sure.

We had a very nice brunch at The Grill. We sat outside in the shade and had a wonderful view of the surrounding golf course. I had a mimosa and a breakfast burrito; my husband had the breakfast sandwich. We found prices fair for the area. The food was good but not wonderful. For example, my burrito was served without any salsa, sour cream, guac...so kind of dry. There was a bottle of hot sauce on the table, which helped. Our server was friendly. We would return.

Great place to decompress after a round of golf on a hot summer day. Great staff; friendly and kind. Great food; had the Fish n Chips. It was a good Sunday.

Made a meal for 2 of 4 great starters. The Dr. Pepper ribs and dip trio were delicious. Rounded out with esquites and brussel sprouts. Sat on the patio wirh a view of the hills, vineyard and golf course. Excellent lunch experience.

The food was good, but somewhat pricey. The servers were spread too thin. Trying too many at once. Wente ness more serving staff on the weekends.

We had a very nice lunch outdoors overlooking the golf course one the shade of the patio overhang.

Can’t call it 5* for food, just can’t, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it, even if it were only 1* for food.

Our server Alley was AWESOME! She was patient, attentive & fun. We were initially disappointed to find out that the original Wente Restaurant had closed several yrs ago. The current breakfast menu is quite limited. We chose to have cocktails until lunch was served. Shout out to the Chef. He came out to say hello & we appreciated that he took the time. The lunch menu provided more options. I chose the California sandwich ( chicken, bacon, Avo spread. It was just ok. The bread was disappointing. The fries were good though, as well as the corn dish. The dessert was quite tasty. We really enjoyed out time and Alley contributed to that. Give her a RAISE! 🥰

We were disappointed that Wente had moved the restaurant to different location. The current setting is near the golf course and has a limited menu. Service was timely. For the money, we are not likely to return.

Always enjoy taking our ebikes on a ride to have lunch here. The food was great, service, not so much. Couldn't figure out how to cut a burger in half. Told us sorry they forgot but didn't offer to fix it. Barely serviced the table... and had to go find someone to give us the bill.
