Nice clean place.

Banh Khot - good but the batter is literally Banh Xeo batter, imo.

Thit Nuong cuon - ok. No mints/herbs whatsoever. V food is all about the mints/herbs.

Com suong nuong - ok. Steamed egg loaf is on the dry side.

Great find in Livermore with delicious fresh Vermicelli bowls. The coconut tapioca pudding dessert with sesame seed, mango, and mint was also delicious.

Just had a great meal at Viet Noms in Livermore, and it’s definitely one of the better Vietnamese spots in the Tri-Valley. The space is clean, modern, and inviting — it feels more polished than your typical pho joint but still keeps the homey vibe.

Their pho is a clear highlight: the broth is rich and aromatic, with just the right balance of spices and sweetness. Portions are huge — easily one of the more generous bowls I’ve had around here. Noodles have good bite, and the meat is tender and flavorful. Great for a chilly day or when you’re just craving comfort food done right.

The bún bò Huế (BBH) really surprised me — it’s one of the most potent, deeply flavored versions I’ve had outside of San Jose. The broth hits with that spicy, lemongrass-heavy kick you want in BBH. I do wish the meat cuts were a bit chunkier and that they included pork blood cubes for full authenticity, but even without that, it’s still a satisfying bowl.

The salad was fresh but a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal — maybe better as a light starter.

What really rounds out the experience is the service. Staff here are super friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive. They make you feel welcome without hovering, which is the sweet spot for casual dining.

Overall, Viet Noms delivers quality Vietnamese food in a setting that’s both relaxed and polished. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Livermore or passing through. Try the pho, go for the BBH if you like spice, and enjoy the vibe.

We shared the combo rice plate and an order of banh khot. The foods tasted delicious and the service was attentive. The portions were large and were on the pricier side.

My family really enjoyed there chicken pho, I tried some of it and was delicious, friendly service and clean place. However, I had the nom nom beef pho with tripe and tendon which I have had in other places before.. Tripe tasted kinda sour so I took it out and enjoyed the rest of the soup. I honestly should of just ordered something different but we were in a rush to get home.. 1hr later I was vomiting and the worst case of diarrhea. It's been 5 days and a trip to the ER for positive food poisoning. I recommend cleaning the tripe thoroughly.. But the rest of the food was good.

Had an excellent overall experience! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I visited this restaurant with my office colleagues, and everyone enjoyed the visit. They offer a good variety of vegetarian options, clearly marked on the menu. Highly recommend this place!

Great pho! It was well packed and had lots of toppings. May be a goto spot for pho for me.

I don’t leave comments often but this place is very overrated. I feel this place is taking shortcuts and taking advantage of people that don’t know good Vietnamese food. I’ve tried their pho one time and a banh mi the second time and they were both incredibly bland to the point I wonder if they used any spices. And I had to wait a half hour for a sandwich that didn’t taste like anything. Saigon Cafe’s pho knocks this one out of the park. 2 chances Viet Noms is enough.total ripoff for what I paid.

Had a wonderful mixed seafood and sausage pho with aromatics and noodles. The service was prompt and the staff friendly. Perfect late lunch on a chilly day.

I always stop here for some Pho when driving through Livermore. It is a lovely family owned business where you are always greeted with a smile.

Parking: It is a shopping center parking lot with plenty of space right in front of Viet Noms.

Kid-friendliness: They have both hi chairs and booster seats. Kids can get drinks in plastic cups with lids and straws which reduces spillage.

Also the menus are laminated, so they are spill proof and safe from babies chewing on them.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has two doors in the front that both open, so wheelchairs can enter no problem.

Awesome food. Tasty peanut sauce and asian coffee. Every visit has been worth it. A once I went there was a very sticky smell in the air but I couldn't figure out where it came from. But the food and service are great.

Super nice and quick. Talla is amazing. She works really fast and was impressed on how she manages such a busy restaurant. Kept her cool even when customers were coming left and right.
