This was our first visit to the Gypsy Bistro - and it might be one of the most interesting and unique restaurants I've ever been to. Talk about a local hidden gem! They have repurposed an old winery and created a setting that is both fun and intimate at the same time. The service was great. Daniel took a lot of time with us not only discussing the menu options but shared a lot of the history of both the restaurant and about the background and experience of our chefs. The food was very tasty - even the veggie side of squash (I never eat that anywhere) but here, it was delicious! I've driven by their sign on Highway 88 many times and now I am sure that I waited way too long to try the place. Don't repeat my mistake. And, yes, we will be going back!

Well, the food was very good. The cement walls made it so loud that I could not hear my friend talking next to me. Waiter never brought me my cocktail. My friend received the totally wrong order. And I have never set in a more uncomfortable chair.

The crab cake appetizer was excellent! It reminded me of how my mother used to make them. The salad was mixed with tasty dressing and crunchy croutons. The lamb chops were prepared with a flavorful blackberry sauce and a light angel hair pasta. The pear dessert was a perfect end to a delicious meal!

We waited 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive for a party of 4. It was only 2 entrees which were split for 2. Also a table light had to be asked for to read the menu. This was due to a previous large party they were accommodating.

Neighborhood gem in Lockeford, ca. Wife and I drove out there for a nice day in wine country and to eat at gypsy bistro. Place was a unassuming from outside but we had a wonderful meal. All staff was attentive and easy to interact with. We like good restaurants and this will be a repeat. Price for meal was great. We'll be back
