“Stopped for lunch a couple weeks ago. It was our first time dining at the Grateful Gypsy Bistro. I had the fresh pasta with bolognese, Hubby had a burger. We both were beyond impressed. My Bolognese was delicious! Best I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Imo- better than the one at Pasta Moon! Hubby’s burger was equally delicious… Food was amazing! Portions were plentiful. “We stumbled upon Daddy’s House of Ribs on a hot Tuesday afternoon while driving back from our trip to the Eastern Sierra. We were starving, and my husband noticed the sign as we passed by—so we turned around to check it out. And I’m so glad we did! 😋

We ordered #10 — Any 2 Meats + 2 Sides for $32.90, which was actually more than enough for the two of us.

For the meats, we chose the beef brisket and ribs, with potato salad and macaroni salad for the sides. Everything was delicious! The meats were perfectly seasoned and so tender. The ribs were truly fall-off-the-bone tender. 🤤

The order also came with a piece of cornbread, and oh my goodness—it was SO good! 😋 I should’ve ordered an extra one for just $2. Definitely one of those things you don’t appreciate enough until it’s gone! 😂

I especially liked the BBQ sauce—it has a little kick of spice, which paired really well with the sides. The potato and macaroni salads were slightly sweeter than what I’ve had at other BBQ places, and I really enjoyed that combination.

The lady at the counter was also very nice and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, even though it’s located along a busy street.

A great little BBQ find that we wouldn’t have discovered if we hadn’t been hungry and noticed that sign! 😂 Definitely worth the U-turn!

“Nicely clean restaurant, great restrooms (clean, tidy, well kept). Food was above standard grade fare for fast food which was probably because the staff was above the apathetic teen years. The main down side is the food and drink sizes which are dictated by the corporate machinery.”
