Great place. First time there. Wife and I ordered:
Bacon Cheese Burger and I ordered The Lockford ( sautéed onions and mushrooms) w/ Swiss cheese.
Both meals came with large portions of fries- my wife asked hers to be extra crispy- and they were!
Staff friendly and “Johnny on the spot”. Price was good.
Stopping there each time we go to Lockford Sausage ( next door) or anytime going through town!!
I have a similar story. Ron and I stopped at a restaurant in Lockeford where we have eaten several times. The food island service is really good. The meal was higher but we were ok with that. We get the bill and there was a $1.50 charge for each biscuit when i thought we had a choice of bread. $1 for gravy on potatoes… ok. $1 for salas for a baja omelette. Hum… and last $1.05 for using a card ( described as non-cash pay) Really. Won’t go back there and I will clarify...read full review

Menu favorites include Popeys Revenge, omelets like the Baja and the Texan, and chicken fried steak with excellent gravy. It is an old fashioned cafe and a favorite breakfast place with excellent comfort food. The service is always good, quick, and very attentive with folksy and delightful servers. The clean, no-frills decor and booth seating add to the welcoming cafe and diner experience.
