Guantonios Wood Fired Reviews
We are in town from the east coast on business and was told Guantonios was a must. Drove an hour to check it out and was not disappointed! Best meal I have had all year. 10/10

The pizzas are amazing. I like how Guantonio’s use fresh local ingredients.

Guantonios Wood Fired is a highly-recommended restaurant known for its stellar wood-fired pizzas, drawing locals and visitors alike to Lodi. The menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes, including creative salads and appetizers. The restaurant features a great beer selection, including draft and small-batch microbrews from local breweries. It is a small place that does not take reservations, so guests should be prepared for a wait, especially for larger parties. Despite possible wait times, the natural wine selection is eclectic and playful, perfect for pairing with the wood-fired crusts and seasonal toppings. Visitors often enjoy watching the kitchen and service area from the counter, adding to the lively dining experience.
The pizza crust is paper-thin yet sturdy enough to hold toppings like smoked pork belly, red onion, and red sauce, which are praised for their fantastic flavor. The Mortadella Pizza with Peaches is a standout, featuring thin-sliced mortadella, fresh summer peaches, and a blistered crust. The dough has the perfect moisture, making every bite marvelous. Salads are bright, seasonal, and textural, providing a perfect balance to the richness of the pizzas. Guests should not miss the cannolis, with crispy shells and smooth ricotta filling that might just steal the show.
Overall, Guantonios Wood Fired provides a memorable dining experience with delicious food and a friendly atmosphere, encouraging guests to arrive early and enjoy drinks and the twist sundae at the end of their meal.
