The dishes at A-1 BBQ are bursting with flavor, showcasing a variety of Chinese classics. The extensive menu caters to different tastes, and the roasted duck comes highly recommended by my husband - a definite standout! I've always opted for takeout, as the in-restaurant dining experience doesn't seem quite kid-friendly. The interior, while showing signs of the restaurant's longevity, could benefit from some sprucing up. It's clear that this establishment has been a fixture in the South Bay for a long time. The service here is what you might expect from a family-run Chinese restaurant with owners nearing retirement. It's straightforward and no-frills. It's bittersweet to learn that the owners have finally retired, leading to the restaurant's closure. This is a significant loss for the South Bay, as A-1 BBQ has been a reliable source of quality Chinese cuisine in the area for many years. More places like this would be a welcome addition to the local dining scene.

Customer service is very poor, order was not ready at time to pick up food due to wrong order. Female is to rude.

I will miss my favorite restaurant after Dec 3, 2023. They are going to close the business forever. ಥ‿ಥ

Lovely staff and the food was great. Got some king pao beef, fried rice and general tsos chicken. Definitely lives up to the namesake of being A1. Whenever I order Chinese food in the area, it will always be here from now on

The food is taste great and original at Taiwanese and Cantonese restaurant. Lots of take outs from local Chinese. A place I would often come when home sick.

You guys almost didn't get a picture because I was inhaling my food. This restaurant was so scrumptious ?. We had shrimp fried rice, sautéed scallop, Kung pao chicken ?, and Walnut shrimp. When I tell you my food was cooked to perfection.... it really was. My Walnut shrimp I'm going to say is the best hands down in my entire Walnut shrimp career. That crisp crunch and tender shrimp was so delectable. ?I'm just shocked this place doesn't have more views. It's in the local area and the waitresses are so kind and like to recommend dishes you might like better and the recommendations are spot on. I love this place! All of my dishes were prepared well and tasted delicious.

Food is always very good. Doesn't seem to have much MSG as we don't feel thirsty after eating here. Atmosphere is minimal as A1 is a tiny hole in the wall type restaurant. Max 10 tables total. Servers are friendly. Very compatible price for the area. Good amount of parking sharing with the businesses in the back of the parking lot. Lunch special daily are great prices n get busy because it's a tiny dining area. We always order at least 4 dishes n take home the leftovers for next day lunch or dinner.

One of the best, if not the best, Chinese restaurant in our vicinity! This is a "hole in the wall," but delivers great and tasty entrees. Place is literally a small building, so a larger place affords better ambience, and shorter lines.Parking: Re-pave parking lot. Asphalt has many dips & holes, that makes for risky walking.

We ordered food for puck up. They had it ready a couple if minutes early allowing us to take home some really good hot chinese food. We had Mongolian beef, Kung Pao children, and mixed house chow mein. I also had the spring rolls (excellent, btw). We got plenty of food for the 2 of us to eat 3 meals. We would go back and recommend this place.

I was hesitant when I first visited this restaurant because it's not a big place but their food selection is awesome and really fast service. Their special seafood hot pot is to die for, the shrimp, chicken and beef dishes are all scrumptious! You will never be sorry because you will get the high quality food and always the freshest ingredients. I give this A1 restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ + ?

The food is pretty good. But the staff are a little rude, but I feel that makes the whole experience much more authentic. And they were only really rude to people who were demanding

Boy, if you like Chinese food, you need to come and try my #1 Chinese food place . Eat in or call ahead and take out. Large portions with all entres. Don't be caught not coming here. You wont be disappointed!

One of our favorite Chinese restaurants! Always accommodating and great selection of Cantonese Chinese food on the menu. Mostly carryout but you can eat in restaurant in a small eating area. Truly authentic and reasonable prices.
