I don't know if it was an off night/afternoon but, I think the chef did in fact forget to add salt to my chicken karahi. Like literally. I mean I can taste the tomato and the ginger and a little bit of chili but they may as well been boiled in water with food coloring along with the chicken for all I know. I even asked for spicy+ I don't know how it came out this bland.
edit: I think I just proved the chef in their busy busy kitchen literally forgot to add salt. I recooked the leftover (literally the whole thing minus like two bites) with proper seasoning and fresh green chili and it actually tasted like a proper curry dish again who'd have imagined that.

This place looks rough around the edges; there is graffiti and stuff all over the front of the cluster of business, but the food is really good. The naan was super fresh with a perfect texture and the chicken curry was delicious. I did not like the chicken tikka masala as it was too sweet and the white meat chicken was quite dry and tough. However, I will go back for that chicken curry (dark meat). Just watch out for bones.

We ordered from this restaurant for the first time today. We’ve been looking for a good Indian restaurant at a reasonable price. This is definitely the place to go and the food is excellent, with large portions. We highly recommend it if you like good Indian food.

I will never ever come back to this restaurant. Ordered food on call 1hr before. When I arrived they still make me wait 30 mins only for 1 item. Worst service ever??

I haven't gone to this place for a while my family stop going here very long time ago because the food doesn't taste right. Any way we had a get together at my house so I ordered 14 naans two weeks ago around 8.20pm. Been told it would take 30 min and they closes at 9.0pm. I.went to pick it up came home, open the foil paper and majority of the tandoori naans were uncooked from the pit. Horrible. No one ate it. I had to through it all out. My sister in law came yesterday from the bay area to visit, so he ordered 6 garlic naans and 6 reg Naan they charged for 8 garlic naans and rest reg. He did'nt cared. I didn't know that he was gono order from this place I would've stopped it. Any way we open up the foil guess what 3 of the garlic naans were burned. So sickening, I am done with this place and also told all my family members not to give bus Period. Worst food, worst service, worst cooks. DONE!!!!!!!
Whenever the owner is there the this place is super amazing. When the owner isn’t there, it’s a hit or miss if their staff will greet you with a friendly attitude or not.
The food on the other hand does consistently tastes great. One of my favorites is the Plow, which is available only on Fridays. Basically it’s a mound of brown rice with a huge lamb shank. One of the best I’ve had!

This is our go-to place in the Lomita area for great Indian food! Been going here for years, and the standards have stayed high throughout, Casual but comfortable ambiance, warm friendly staff, and delicious home-style Indian food. Today, we dropped by for lunch, and had Chicken Keema with some garlic naan, and an order of Shami Kebabs (latter not on the menu, but they'll make special order). Oh, and the prices are reasonable, so if in the vicinity, pay Famous Tandoori a visit--you'll not regret it!
