I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the flavors are amazing insane. Best Chinese in Torrance in terms of flavor.

The problem is the portion of their protein. The portions themselves are normal but they really cheap out on the protein. I got the knife cut noodles with beef and it came with literally 5 small cubes of beef but had a ton of noodles and broth. Also the general tso’s chicken was basically all breaded with a very small amount of chicken so you’re basically eating fried bread and sauce.

The dinning I and the rest of my party at Ruiji Sichuan Chinese restaurant is one of worst dinning experiences l have had in many years.
The food is good and their were many Chinese and other asian people frequenting the establishment. So we knew where to go to for quality Sichuan cuisine.
The problem I and the other members of my dinning party experienced was the open disdained the restaurant's staff expressed towards us. Our party of three was approprietly groomed and dressed, polite, and respectful to the other patrons and the staff... in short well behaved.

Our party was all caucasian. Every other table was asian, or asian majority clientel. We were seated and given menus and then totally ignored for 30 minutes. No inquiries if we wanted hot tea, water or any other beverages. No wait-staff ever came to take our meal order.
We attempted to get the staff's attention by waving, but were ignored. Finally, one of our party got up and directly contacted a member of the wait-staff to come and take our order. That person then directed the youngest and clearly most junior staff member to come and take our order. She did so with with obvious reluctance and open disdainfulness and rudeness.
Sadly, given the circumstances I listed above I can only conclude that we were being discriminated against because we were caucasian... white persons who were not wanted in this asian cuisine and themed eating establishment.
Why?
Apparently due to racism.
Other reasons for the disdain may exisit, and I would be pleased to learn what they might be.
With that said, I CAN NOT at this time recommend
Ruiji Sichuan Cuisie restaurant to anyone; furthermore, I suggest to any one seeking an enjoyable Chinese meal that they look for other friendlier options.

By the time our order arrived at the table an entire hour had passed.
No inquiry as to the quality of our food or other needs for our meal were made. It was a dinning service failure.

Best Sichuan food in the South Bay, maybe all of LA. Highly recommend the ribs and the toothpick lamb. The duck and the sweet and sour fish are a to so worth it.
