Very friendly staff and great service. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good Japanese BBQ. We'd definitely go back again!
The food was great! The meat quality is for sure above average and the service was excellent. I will be back for sure
I visited during restaurant week, everything was great. There were two mixups with our order, but they were quickly fixed. I believe this is just due to the high demand they had going on during this time. I would eat here again.
The quality is worth it. Their salad dressing was really good. Bidets in the restroom are nice.

So we were on the hunt for an independent steakhouse. Looking around the area we found The Steak Library. Menu looked good online so that's where we ended up. It did seem strange that we ended up in a strip mall, but decided to walk through the door anyway. I am so glad we did. We entered this quaint chill and relaxed vibe little place that had the bar & kitchen in the back and intimate seating along the side. One of the 1st impressive things this place offers is several drying chambers holding cuts of beef for in house aging. Very Cool. We were greeted by the GM Makoto and we're taken to our table. We received menus and a drink list. Makoto and his staff were very knowledgeable & helpful in answering all of our questions. Once we figured out our wine selection, we started out with the beef tartar.

I had an incredible experience at Tamaen Japanese BBQ in Lomita! The quality of the beef, especially their Wagyu selections, was exceptional—melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. The variety of cuts they offer is impressive, and everything was grilled perfectly at the table, making the whole dining experience interactive and fun.
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the different options on the menu. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion.
If you’re a fan of Japanese BBQ, this place is a must-try. Be sure to make a reservation, as it can get busy during peak times. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Really great Japanese BBQ. You get a healthy and high quality meal here. Great value considering how expensive eating out is getting to be. I cannot believe I have never been here before. Do not judge this place by location, we have been to some Michelin rated restaurants and have had some of the most exquisite meals, but nothing compares to this. Everything we ate, just melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it and would recommend this place.

Wagyu quality was not that good as expected. They charged 20% tips on lunch special. Not worth the money we paid.
非常に気持ち良く食事が出来て、スタッフも丁寧な対応が素晴らしかったです。 既に10年以上通っていますが、変わらずの接客と味!

Shinju was exceptionally talented at making us feel welcome at her establishment and seemingly commanded the restaurant with minimal support. The restaurant is delicious and I especially suggest trying the bibimbap. We will be back!

Outstanding professional staff. Both staff servers were courteous, responsive, and really worked to satisfy all customer needs. Food preparation, display, and quality were exceptional. Open fire cooking is enjoyable and we left with full stomachs and are definitely looking forward to a return. BEST PART, it was our Anniversary dinner - what a way to make for a pleasant memory! Thank you to the entire staff.
As a belated celebration of birthday and Father’s Day, our son treated us to a luxurious Japanese BBQ feast here. The ambience was welcoming. A glass of chilled cold draft Asahi was a nice way to begin our meal. The salads were beautifully-plated and appetizingly refreshing. The grill-you-own entrees started with an aged Tomahawk set of high quality flavorful, tender beef. The finely-marbled Celebrity Japanese wagyu set followed. This tasting order gradually ascending to A5 dry aged beef accentuated their superior umami quality. Two sets, totaling 14 delicious morsels per person, was a lot of premium beef for four of us! The assorted pickled vegetables and kimchi complemented the protein well, and the rice w shiso leaf tasted marvelous. Service was very attentive. An excellent dinner.
The meat is top quality, but the quantity is small compared to the price, and the cold noodles are Jjolmyeon noodles.
