What a great experience at the Steak Library! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary, and they had rose petals on the table and a fun dessert. The food was excellent, the ambiance was intimate, the service was great. Try the wagyu cotton candy skewers (trust me, mind blowing). We wanted the Kansas City aged bone in strip, but they didn't have it, so we went with the regular NY strip, and it was cooked to perfection. It is not cheap, but it is worth it.

Love the food and service. Just wish they had a full bar and the price just a little cheaper. I understand the quality but should be about 20% cheaper

Best meal of my life! No exaggeration very good. The prices are expensive but only because you're getting the best quality of meat that is perfectly seasoned. We had an appetizer, soup course, main and sides as well as dessert and it was freaking amazing. Nothing was bad or needed to be improved !!!Everything was perfect. It was a great place. I wish I would have gone here sooner. This will be our anniversary dinner every single year. I loved that it wasn't like the larger chain restaurants that still charge you high prices for fair to ok food. This felt very intimate and amazing.

An absolutely fantastic find! Off the beaten path for a steak restaurant and situated in an unassuming strip mall, this place is special occasion level and every day relaxing. The Wine list is concise and excellent and the salads and steaks were absolutely perfect. Don't overlook this place. You've gotta give this a try, especially if you're in or near or get to the South Bay.

It was a wonderful dining experience, a romantic setting and we had exceptional service! The steaks and our other dishes were outstanding, best for a special occasion just because of the cost. If you only live once - try it!

Service was excellent. Food amazing, especially cotton candy wagu and crème brûlée bone marrow.

This is our second time to the Steak Library and it didn't disappoint. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. The restaurant is quiet so you can have a conversation without yelling. Our server, John, was attentive and we never had to ask for refills of water or wine. The food was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. I had the ribeye and my girlfriend had the New York and both were excellent. For sides we had the asparagus, garlic fried rice and mushrooms. Since it was our birthdays, we were each given a slice of their delicious cheesecake and a song... We will most definitely be back again for our next birthday (if not sooner).

This place is a hidden gem. I recommend going with someone special. I did. This is a high class restaurant. Not cheap. Worth every penny. I had the most tender filet minion ever seared🤤. I didn't care for their take on lobster bisque but some might. As soon as I find someone special enough I'll be back 🤞🏽

If you are looking for the ultimate steak experience in the South Bay, The Steak Library in Lomita is on another level. Every cut we tried was perfection. The wagyu was melt in your mouth rich, buttery, and marbled like art. The porterhouse was cooked flawlessly with a perfect crust and juicy tenderness that showed off the chef's skill. The tomahawk stole the show with its dramatic presentation and bold, beefy flavor that somehow managed to be both decadent and balanced. The thick cut bacon was unbelievable, crisped on the outside, smoky and savory, yet tender inside, almost like a steak in itself. The cotton candy wagyu was unlike anything I have ever had, playful, indulgent, and an absolute must try that captures the creative spirit of this place. The Steak Library is probably one of the best steakhouses in California. Every dish is treated with the kind of care and respect that steak deserves. It is not just dinner, it is an experience, and one that I would recommend to anyone serious about quality meat.

This was first time here. I should have seen the pictures for some of the food items. The salmon portion for dinner was small for the price, and the same for the flavor. I have had better salmon. Then the old fashioned was quite smoky. But , I get it is it a steakhouse in Lomita, instead of driving out to Mastro's, Eddie V or other places that are a distance. We just wanted drinks and small light meal. Plus, they don't use use bourbon or whiskey. I did say to my wife to return it, but she didn't. The appetizer and the side dishes were definitely flavorful. The one thing that was outstanding is the service. Our waiter was very attentive, and courteous. Plus, their wine list was limited and over priced.

You don't see many restaurants like this in South Bay, let alone Lomita. I highly recommend getting a reservation and enjoy a nice nice out.

Reservations are a must for this diamond in the rough steak house. Be ready for a great steak.
