Cara Mia catered my mother-in-law's memorial service beautifully and on quite short notice. The owner was so incredibly kind and helped us pick out the right things to feed 30+ people, was super responsive via email, and even met us in person when we picked up our order to offer her heartfelt condolences. They went above and beyond to help make this difficult day easier and we were blown away not only by their compassion, but the quality of their baked goods! The memorial guests devoured everything and many of them remarked to us how great the food was :) I can't recommend Cara Mia enough and hope to visit again under happier circumstances. Thank you!!!!

As a mom of a soon-to-be four-year-old with severe dairy, egg, and tree nut allergies (which cause anaphylaxis), finding quality vegan bakery items has been incredibly challenging. We’ve tried vegan offerings from bakeries all over San Diego, Orange County, and LA, but none have come close to the quality of this bakery.
Although they aren’t an entirely vegan bakery, they offer vegan options such as cookies and cakes — and they are truly the best we’ve ever had. The staff is extremely helpful and genuinely wants to make sure you get exactly what you need, which makes the experience even better. This year marks the third year I’m ordering my daughter’s birthday cake from them, and I plan to continue coming back year after year — and even in between birthdays — for their vegan treats.
Usually, when you buy a vegan item from a bakery, you can immediately tell it’s vegan — the taste or texture tends to be just slightly off. I always appreciate when bakeries make the effort to offer vegan options, but it’s something special when a bakery can create vegan desserts that taste just as good as traditional ones. The first time we tried their vegan cake, my husband was convinced I must have ordered a regular cake by mistake because it tasted so good!
You can tell this bakery uses extremely high-quality ingredients and makes everything from scratch. In fact, there have been times when I’ve paid more at other bakeries for vegan cakes that didn’t even come close to the quality this bakery provides.
If you’re looking for a vegan cake, cupcake, or cookie — whether it’s for a birthday, a holiday, or just a get-together — this is absolutely the place to go. Even if you don’t have food allergies and are vegan by choice (or even if you’re not vegan at all), I highly recommend trying their vegan offerings. They are truly outstanding.

I went in before 3pm (time they close) grabbed a chai was delicious and got a rice krispy treat Easter edition for my daughter thought it was cute. My daughter was excited when she got it. The rice krispy treat wasn’t good tasted old. She spilt it out

I ordered an 8” vegan Raspberry bliss cake for my birthday and it was a HIT! Everyone loved it! Also, I was running late to pick up the cake and the bakery was incredibly kind to call and text me to make sure I got it before they closed. Delicious cake, amazing customer service- 10/10 will order again.

Some of the best blueberry lemon scones ever. I’ve tried the cranberry and apricot which were okay. I love their breve coffee. I order from here quite often from doordash, just these two items and I would recommend. If they are out of something they usually call you for a substitute which is great.
