Recently, while attending the annual weekend Wine and Fire Event in the Santa Rita Hills, my wife and I made a tasting appointment at Sandhi Wines, located in Lompoc’s Wine Ghetto. Sandhi Wines are produced by the same team that makes the illustrious Domaine de la Cote wines in the Santa Rita Hills. You can taste the kinship in Sandhi’s wines. They are well worth a visit.
Our Sandhi vineyard tour and wine tasting was one of the best experiences I’ve had in the SYV. Adam was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, and enhanced the tour with fun anecdotes and his personal history in the industry. The wine was truly special and I can’t wait to look for it on lists and shelves. I will happily recommend Sandhi to anyone living in or visiting the area. (Make sure to ask about the tree that was saved by the planting of vines!)
