Solvang Brewing Company - Hoptions Taproom & Eatery- Lompoc

We had an amazing experience at Solvang Brewing Co and Glaze’s Smoke House in Lompoc! We ordered the #7 Combo Two Meat Plate with smoked tri-tip and baby back ribs, and it did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and full of flavor. For sides, we went with the #2 Mac n Cheese and #4 Loaded Half Baked Potato, which were both deliciously creamy and seasoned just right. Since we were splitting the plate, we added an extra side of #6 Kale Crunch Salad and #3 Southern Greens and Pork Belly—each one was incredible in its own way, packed with flavor and expertly prepared.

The traditional smoked BBQ sauce was a standout; it’s easily one of the best sauces I’ve ever tasted. We were thrilled to hear they’ll be bottling it soon—can’t wait to bring some home! To complement our meal, we had the Sunny Fields Organic Craft beer in mimosa flavor and the classic Solvang Lager on tap. Both were refreshing and paired perfectly with the smoky richness of the food.

This place is truly a hidden gem. It’s clear they’ve been through the challenges of the pandemic, but more people need to discover what they’re offering here. Don’t sleep on this spot—it deserves to be packed every night! We’ll definitely be back next week to try more of their smoked meat options. Highly recommend! Service was above and beyond too!

Friendly, open space with outdoor games and a nice bar inside.

Nachos were good, but even the half order was too much for one person. Side salad was huge as well, enough for four people. If it had been any good I would have taken the extra home, but the kale salad was nearly inedible. The menu described marinated kale, but it was just big chucks of kale still wet from washing, drowning in the dressing poured over the top.

My boyfriend and I went here to see our friend's band; I thought we'd grab an appetizer and then go home for dinner.

We ordered the nachos to share....and were brought a foot-tall tower of food. The nachos were delicious, and had a wildly generous amount of carnitas. We made breakfast with them the next day and STILL have leftovers. My lager tasted like a lager, which is exactly what I wanted.

Our server Cynthia was friendly and helpful, and other folks working there came to check on us and say hi as well. We had a lovely time.

This food here was very good. The beer was mediocre at best.
The location and parking was awesome, but the quality and taste of the beer here is not good.

We had the best Brisket here during our holiday. The beers were also very good. Nice staff and a great location.

There really aren't many nice places to eat in Lompoc, luckily this one is an exception. Good local beer, good generous burgers, ideal for families.

From Colorado and we would kill to have one of these there. This place is great…incredible beer (try the Kolsch)…incredible food (see the nachos pic). But the vibe and atmosphere is awesome…great music btw whoever is on that. Enjoy!!! Sidebar…. Mike is killing it here, a rockstar in the industry!!!

Great BBQ ribs! 2 bones of the half rack filled me up I had two sides that I did not put a dent in! Mac and cheese good has a different flavor I couldn’t pinpoint it think peppery but not jalapeño…Collard greens crunchy and healthy but this southern girl will take a side of smoked turkey and salt (personal preference) all the food is good and taste bud worthy the Bbq sauce was great (get a side it you can) and my order will last me two meals! Price worth it customer service excellent experience and I went right before close and got my food quick! I’m a happy camper Fat and Full!!Great environment!

Great food & great service. We went for late lunch on Sunday & it wasn't busy. It has a very nice outdoor patio that's kid & dog friendly. One of us had the Western Burger and the other had the tri-tip dip. Both were excellent! The fries were good & the portions generous. There were quite a few menu items we'd like to try on future visits. We don’t drink beer so you'll have to try that out for yourself - they do brew their own.

Casual, busy, and dependably good. Service was good, Macaroni & Cheese and Grilled Artichoke were both good, service was good, and atmosphere was great good. I’d totally come back with friends for a laid-back night out!

When they tell you that the nachos are ‘big’ you better believe it. Sitting outside on a sunny afternoon with beer and nachos … what could be better?
