They had just one person working in the whole place, so he was basically making each personâs dish one at a time and bringing them out. That meant a few of us got our food quickly, but one of us had to wait about an hour. The food was of mixed quality. The açaĂ bowls were good and the burgers were pretty standard. The fries were shriveled little strings, some burnt and some wet and undercooked. There were random substitutions and missed items. I donât blame the workersâthe one guy they had there for most of the time was working as hard as he couldâbut the operation just seemed to be a mess. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-11
Went for dinner. Nice open feeling place with about 10 tables. Staff was very nice. You order using a tablet which has pictures and descriptions and was super easy to customize your order. We shared the animal less fries, excellent. Fries stayed crispy despite the cheese and sauce. I had the buffalo chicken wrap, it was good. My wife had the southern fried chicken sandwich which was better. My son had the BBQ beyond burger, also very tasty. I would definitely eat here again. There was also a daily special menu where everything was less than $10!
We had an Amhisa Burger and a Nourish Bowl. Even though there were only two orders ahead of us, it took a long time to get our food. The burger was pretty good. The patty was crisp and had good texture, unlike some bean-based patties. The roll was a fresh, soft Kaiser bun. The bowl, on the other hand, was very bland. Thank goodness it came with a wedge of lemon because that provided the only flavor to the lentils. The broccoli and cauliflower were curry-flavored, but somehow still bland. And although it was supposed to be âspicyâ, it wasnât. We wonât be going back.
Love the vegan chicken and spring rolls.

Karen was the absolute bees knees! Sheâs an excellent chef and server thatâs makes me want to come back and support this small business! Housemade sauces, sweets! Hip crowd and staff. So glad I stopped by- thank you.

This is my Berry Good. I think itâs the worst one compared to the other reviews and the photos on the menu.
Other bowls are almost filled to the top and have a generous amount of fruit on the acaĂ base with beautiful pattern.
I came here for an event and was looking forward to having a meal, but this is what I received.
After reading more reviews in detail, I noticed some people mentioning racism, and Iâm sad to say I agree.
If youâre not white, you might think twice before coming here.
(Aside from that, the food is good.)
Great food, great service, great atmosphere and really great music!
Will be my go to in Long Beach!

My experience was fantastic. I know the location formerly as Ahimsa and it's still very nice. A huge menu, the service personal was friendly and helpful. I ordered the tofu bowl and vanilla cheesecake as well a raw cinnamonroll. The tofubowl with brown rice, veggies and the dressing on top was amazing, one of the best I've ever had. Cheesecake was unstable so more creamy but still delicious. No aircondition, I liked very much (for me I never need/ use A/C). Updated from previous review on 2025-10-31

This is a review for the Manager. The business is poorly understaffed. The tablet for self ordering might be efficient for your bare bones staff, but it takes away the interaction with a person. I keep coming back because the food is delicious. But waiting 25 minutes for food on my 40min lunch break is unrealistic.

Love that itâs plant based. Food was average- I had higher hopes. I do appreciate a self service kiosk and the worker was friendly but food left me wanting something different. Cheese wasnât even melted in my Crunchwrap.
I got a burger and a slice of cheesecake to go from here and everything was really good! Gluten free bread fell apart a little as I was eating it but it was delicious!
Tried the lintel soup for the first time and I have discovered my 2nd FAVORITE!!!
