This bar is phenomenal. NOAH IS A SAINT. Omar is pretty chill too. Sean is also top tier. The employees MAKE THIS BAR, but the ambiance and music speaks for itself. 12/20

Best live jazz I’ve heard in years tonight. Also, the Hot Buttered Rum is amazing and matched the vibe of the jazz.

this is hands down the best bar in the region. it’s not even close. i have worked at places with michelin guides, a dozen + james beard awards, and everything in between, so i like to think i know a good bar from an average one. baby gee is the real deal!

went there for New Year’s could not get a drink, was ignored..the Security outside seems very classist. . I never feel welcome to go in this bar even though I’m native to Long Beach with lots of disposable income.. The Security guard outside admitted this is more for a couple coupled up..so I guess if you’re single and just want a classy vibe, it’s not for you. Also, starting to feel like my color might have something to do with my unwelcoming too, so never mind I won’t be visiting this bar

Thought this would be my new hangout. However they grabbed my money before I was finished drinking. Very rude and unprofessional. I won't be back

Dark, small, drinks over priced, bartenders while there didn’t seem happy to be there.

They do a lot of experimental cocktails here. Sometimes they don't hit. Our friend literally returned her cocktail. But there were tons of people. It was busy and everyone else seemed happy. I just didn't have the greatest drink. Maybe I ordered something wrong.

Excellent drinks that are pricey, but worth it. We chatted a bit with AJ and they were awesome!

Parker was the GOAT and my group had so much fun here! The loose screw and Long Beach iced tea were really good.

Came here back in December of last year for the first time because I had heard rave reviews of this place from some friends. Decided to bring some cousins that flew in from out of town and we were all rather underwhelmed.

Drinks from both the seasonal holiday menu and the regular one left a lot to be desired. While the intention might be to catch your eye with seemingly bold and delicious cocktails, Baby Gee unfortunately fell short of the mark. Could it have just been they weren’t on it that night? Perhaps.

For the price of the mixed drinks, nothing really provided that WOW factor. In all honesty it feels like the emphasis was more on drink presentation than actual taste.

Another thing worth noting is that our drinks took a considerable amount of time to be made, and this was on a very slow Thursday night. This could be understandable on a bustling weekend, but there were only three other people in the bar at the time when my family and I went.

I understand that preparing craft cocktails can take some time, but if it takes a bartender about 20-25 minutes to prepare four drinks, either the menu needs modification or more staff are needed to assist with customers. I don’t see Baby Gee lasting long if this is a regular occurrence.

Overall this visit was more memorable for the things that were lacking than anything that truly excelled. There are a plethora of options around Long Beach that can match or exceed the experience you’d have here, and for a lower price point. It’s also worth mentioning that if you drive to this establishment, parking can be rather difficult to find on any given night.

Maybe I can be persuaded to give Baby Gee another try if invited by friends on a future date, but first impressions matter and sadly this one was rather poor.
