I've been here many times when stopping in Long Beach, California.
Excellent beer and normal good food. Unfortunately, this last visit, i got sick from their flat bread pizza. Let's just say i did the bathroom scene from dumb and dumber. I had to fly back to Florida the next day, so it wasn't a fun trip back to Palm Beach.
It's been 4 days, and I'm still not back to normal. Anyway, I'm sure the management would have taken care of me, but my main goal was to get back home.
Good thing out of this experience is that I'm finally losing weight...😆

It is a calm environment, the sunset looks very beautiful. I like that you order online and pay, so there's no problem splitting bills when you go with friends. The cheese on the nachos is delicious 🤤 although I found the meat very seasoned (I don't really enjoy strong seasonings) the pretzel was delicious, the potatoes too. In general the food and drinks were very good. What I didn't like very much was the service, there are so many people that the waiters are in a hurry, one of them spilled the beer on the jacket of one of the customers and didn't seem to care much. The food comes out without a name (many times) so at large tables it is difficult to know who it belongs to and there is a lot of noise. There are also no tables for large groups so if there are more than 8-10 they will probably all be at separate tables.
Parking: There is free parking; However, it tends to get crowded, we saw a sign that said 3 hours Parking but it took a little longer and everything was fine
Kid-friendliness: Not much, although some couples brought their children, there is alcohol for sale and there is no children's area

Great location but loud. Food is average and ordering system sucks.

a relaxing vibe with beautiful scenery — perfect for watching boats glide by as you enjoy a cold pint. Their beer selection is diverse, from crisp lagers to bold IPAs, with standouts like the Sculpin IPA and Victory at

Not the biggest fan of IPA’s. But I like to come here to spoon some red wine, some food and enjoy the beautiful view !

It’s a great place with beautiful views of the water. I just wish they would open outside seating year round even during the week. The weather is beautiful here in So Cal and the biggest draw is the view so sitting outside really makes the experience a 5/5. Was disappointed on last visit we couldn’t sit outside despite it being a beautiful day.

Visited California last week and went to this Ballast Point location on Long Beach. The garlic fries were awesome and the beer was great. My only complaint was being in a county called "Orange County", asking for an Orange slice for my Allagash White "Belgian Style Wheat Beer" and being told "We don't garnish our beers." This really just rubbed me the wrong way, but it did give me a good quote to laugh about for the rest of the trip. It also made me think about the poor mans bdubs where the orange slices flow like Heavens rivers of milk and honey.
I would 1000% go again and bring my own orange.

Worst Customer Service Experience in the USA
I placed an order using the QR code and paid with Apple Pay, but the system showed an error. However, the money was still deducted from my account. When I spoke to the manager, C. Johnson, she admitted that this happens frequently but insisted that I pay again if I wanted my food. Even after I showed proof that the payment went through, she refused to help.
Instead of offering a solution or at least showing some understanding, she simply told me to wait a few days and hope the money would be refunded – despite knowing that I was leaving on Sunday. If a business expects trust from its customers, it should be willing to give the same trust in return. Instead, my concern was completely dismissed.
I’m from Germany and have always praised the excellent customer service in the USA – but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Good customer service means solving problems, not pushing them onto the customer. Extremely disappointing!

The property is in an awesome location. Unfortunately, the building looks like it’s in disrepair. The amazing view is obscured by dirty windows. There was a water leak in the ceiling that’s repaired with ply wood. The furniture is peeling. The outdoor seating was closed at lunchtime.
Good pub food and good beer.

I went in here to have a beer asked for a sculpin, which is $8.50. They told me they were out of it and gave me something else to try.. I said sure that’s fine. The beer was $14 and then a 20% tip. So one beer cost me $18.00.

Great atmosphere by the waterfront, yacht view. Multiple options to seat whether you want cushion lounge chairs, high table tops, bar seating, inside or outside patio. 10/10 on the atmosphere. Parking is also easy and right out front.
Didn’t really get the QR code system. Ours did not work - we tried with all our phones, and had to find a server to take order manually.
Beers are great. Food was mediocre. We had pizza and fish tacos and they were nothing to write home about. It’s just bar food to help the alcohol flow.

The QR service isn't the most suitable choice for this area, especially considering the prices they charge; I think the service should be more accessible. It took 96 minutes from the moment we entered until our food was served. I would rate cleanliness at 2 star, service at 2 star, and the food at a maximum of 3 stars. However, the area and the view definitely deserve 5 stars! Despite that, I won’t be returning for sure.

After purchasing my drink and tipping 20%, I declined a receipt. Only to go home and see the tip was altered to nearly 90%. They are hungry, it seems. Always ask for a receipt. Never going back

The food at Ballast Point was just okay, but the service staff were absolutely terrible—extremely rude, with a few exceptions (Kevin) I still gave a 20% tip upfront before ordering, but if I had known it would be like this, I would’ve asked you for money instead. lol 🤣
