Had the v60 pour over El Salvador. Unfortunately it took 30 minutes for the staff to make two pour overs. When the coffee arrived it was some of the most under extracted and weak coffee I’ve had. Tough to pay $6. Service was really friendly though!

I recently visited Black Dog Coffee Roasters, and it was an incredible experience! The warm, inviting atmosphere immediately drew me in, and the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee was irresistible.
What truly sets this coffee shop apart from others is the owner’s connection to his family's coffee farm in El Salvador. This passion and knowledge about coffee truly shines through in every cup. I bought some single-origin beans which were freshly roasted on the same day right in the shop. How amazing!!
The baristas were super friendly and offer to adjust the sweetness of each drink just as you want it. I also indulged in a delicious croissant that paired perfectly with my coffee.
With its exceptional drinks, great vibe, and a heartfelt story behind the coffee, Black Dog Coffee Roasters is a must-visit for any coffee lover. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!

My favorite coffee shop in Long Beach ? Great coffee, great vibes, and great music!
I love that they have dine-in cups for iced drinks ++ (not very common at most coffee shops). Their baristas are all wonderful and take the time to bring your drink to the table to encourage a more relaxed atmosphere.
This place is a gem, def check them out ??

Hate to do it. But have to leave an honest review after my recent visit over the weekend. Blackdog was once one of my local favorite but the two women working over this last weekend on Sanday may have ruined it. First off. Terrible line Management and slow service. There was literally one person in front of me and it took 25 mins to get my coffee. Not only that but the cashier wouldn't have been aware if the line was out the door and around the corner because she barely looked up to acknowledged people waiting in line right in front of her. Also it was 0930 on a Sunday and they didn't have any Chai left. Smh. Breakfast ? are trash and overpriced. Tried them a few times and the sauce sucks too. Oh yeah. And my name was literally on the cups and the lady making coffee calls me David. Like come on lady, all you need to do is read. No AC but the ambiance is nice. If you catch the authentic men working you will be blessed with good coffee and service. If not just turn around and walk out.

What a great coffee shop. You can tell the beans are top quality. If you arrive early, you'll be able to enjoy their pastries. On weekends they have a food stall outside that offers burritos (vegan options available). You pre-pay for the food inside and then you go outside with your ticket to claim the food.
First time being in Long Beach and decided to try this coffee shop. First time experience will definitely be the last due to them starting to serve someone else after me. Then they continue to make a few other customer’s drink before me. I’ve had way better customer service at other local coffee shops. This was the worst by far

The service was great! With exception of explaining what is in the drinks that effect the taste. I ordered 2 drinks. ICED MOCHA and ICED CHAIEDIT*: It's worth mentioning that their syrups are NOT made in house. They're purchased and are over the top sweet. Be mindful of ordering things flavored with syrups vs those made "in house". However let me warn you that their 2 "in house" flavorings besides the "almond roca" had very little to no flavor.Iced Mocha: the first sip revealed cinnamon. Which, had I known, I wouldn't have ordered. When I order a mocha, I expect somewhat of a level of chocolate, absolutely NOT cinnamon. Unless of course it's abuelitas or MEXICAN style which nothing eluded to either of those. I drank as much as a could and tossed it.ICED CHAI: as if it couldn't get any worse, this glass of flavored water was without a doubt the worst chai latte I've ever experienced. Zero tea flavor, light spices and a strong flavor of.... not much really. When I say it tastes like water with some feint spices I am being dead accurate. As with all of my reviews, no drama here whatsoever. I almost implore you to try for yourself so you can give another honest review and with enough of those maybe the truth of this coffee shop will rise.I truly can't fathom the mindset of people who walk in and simply because the staff is nice, will say it's good coffee, or good product. Read the reviews, this seems to be extremely common here in long Beach. Nothing but hyper emotional based reviews that review people and atmosphere rather than product.This entire city is disgusting and the reviews of places are quite disappointing and revealing.This was a one and done visit and if the owner sees this I'd like my card refunded. Thanks
