Blue Bowl Superfoods is great! There are numerous options for acai bases and toppings. A plus is that your total isn't dependent on the number of toppings you choose but on the size of your bowl. Every time I go to Long Beach, I always look forward to indulging in acai bowls from here. The service is average. Employees are fairly friendly. The ambiance is nice. It's located inside a big food court, so it's usually busy.Overall, this place is delightful and I would recommend coming here.

My favorite açaí bowls! Delicious and super refreshing. I always get the blue bowl with no modifications and it's always perfection. The blue bites are also delicious and super filling.

This is a family favorite. It is packed with good stuff and especially the Chia seed pudding. My neice always requests to go here when she's back in town.Located at the hanger's LB center, parking can challenging at times but there's ample space. Walk over to handles after for some ice cream. It's about$12 a bowl but worth the bite.

Blue Bowls is never a miss. Except when they run out of that darn precious early bird overnight oats!!! Haha, and even then, Blue Bowls is the GOAT, the KING of acai bowls. This location is located in a food court called The Hangar. It's the first shop to your right when you enter. The servers seemed like they were having a rough day but they were trying their best. I love the unique bases that Blue Bowls offers, and the variety of toppings. Not only so, the bases are the creamiest, silkiest of textures, VERY unlike the bases at any other acai shop. It feels almost whipped, never icey or watery, but always the perfect consistency. It really makes a world of a difference. My favorite bases here are the blue coconut and the matcha. Always with the overnight oats and chia seeds. The perfect combo. And of course, we love mulberries!Plenty of parking, as this is the Long Beach center.

[Review #794]2023-082Food Order:MEDIUM CUSTOM BOWL (blue coconut, blue chia pudding, maple quinoa granola, strawberry, blueberry, pomegranate, almond butter, goji berry, mulberry, seeds (chia, flax, hemp), agave, cinnamon)LARGE CUSTOM BOWL (huckleberry, pitaya, blue chia pudding, hemp & maple quinoa granolas, strawberry, blueberry, banana, almond butter, toasted coconut, goji berry, mulberry, seeds (chia, flax, hemp), agave, raspberry powder)Service/Vibe: friendly & chill, hang out in the open dining space inside LBX The Hangar (1st food court space on the far right).Restroom: men's & women's restroom is mid-food court area on the left.I've been to the The Hangar a couple of times via YEEs: Taste of LBX & Blue Bowls Elite Experience. Thanks for CM Evan for this intro (Review #770), we have another açaí bowl fav even if it's a bit of a drive. What separates Blue Bowl Superfoods from other açaí shops is their unique & diverse bases blue chia pudding, huckleberry, gold, blue coconut, maqui berry yogurt, cold brew -- that's more than 2/3s of their bases... whoa! I was nearby for a YEE, & detoured over so M can have a taste of this yumminess. It was quite busy on Saturday afternoon... service was still friendly & attentive as I remembered. Since this was M's 1st time, I had him try the huckleberry base (too tart for him); he selected blue chia pudding & blue coconut (has spirulina). I tried the matcha because I wanted to pair it with pitaya (too strong for the pairing); I picked blue chia pudding, huckleberry, & pitaya.M was pretty hangry after Chinese school, but couldn't finish his medium bowl. Yes, 16 oz. is a sizable bowl for an 8 YO, but he has finished bowls at other açaí shops. He felt more full on Blue Bowl's bases & toppings. Was it the double serving of granola in the base mix & topping? They're quite generous that the initial scoops causes spillage. ;-) Loaded with berries & a bunch of superfoods, it was a healthy & deliciously satisfying way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon! Blue Bowl Superfoods offers fresh & quality ingredients with affordable pricing & generous toppings; no surcharges here.Menu Info:Sizes (3): small (12 oz.): $10.80, medium (16 oz.): $12.30, large (24 oz.): $14.80Blue Bowl(s): Lazy Blue, or build your own Custom BowlBYOB Info:Bases (9): gold (mango, orange, passionfruit, tumeric), pitaya, açaí, blue chia pudding (w/spirulina), blue coconut (w/spirulina), cold brew, maqui berry yogurt, matcha, huckleberryTopping Options:* granolas (4): hemp, maple quinoa, pumpkin, chocolate with chia* fruits (5): apple, banana, blueberry, strawberry, pomegranate (seasonal)* nut butters (4): almond, cashew, peanut, the butter* toppings (23): coconut shreds (3): raw, sweetened, toasted; cranberries, goji berries; mulberries; almonds; dates; cacao nibs; seeds (5): chia, flax, hemp, pumpkin, sunflower; sweeteners (3): agave nectar, date honee, ginger honee; powders (6): cinnamon, himalayan salt, matcha, raspberry, cacao, expressoBlue Bowl's on our list of go-to açaí shops, especially since I loaded on their winter deal: buy $30+ gift card & receive a free small bowl (see my tip for more details). Blue bowl has been my favorite spot for açaí bowls for years now. This time around I got huckleberry, açaí, pitaya, and blue bowl chia as my bases with strawberries, toasted coconuts, almonds, Gogi and mulberries, and many more for my toppings. The staff is always so welcoming and accommodating as you're allowed to put as many bases and toppings as you like.I love the concept of blue bowl and their build your own bar. I think every açaí bowl spot should base their concept/menu off of blue bowl's since it's so efficient and easy. I love the customization especially since sometimes at other açaí bowl places there are some ingredients I don't care for in their set menu's/ bowls.Overall I really loved the experience and always recommend those within the area to try blue bowl if they haven't yet! Please open up a location in the Bay Area! You guys will do so well there, trust me

Blue Bowl makes the best acai bowls around. You can make countless combinations with their options, but my go-to is acai, pitaya, and blue chia pudding. The online ordering is convenient, but if you try to do it last minute because you see a long line, just know cell service isn't the best at The Hangar. Usually the line moves fairly quickly anyway. -1 star because of some miscommunication among staff when checking out: On a few occasions, I told an employee I was paying for 1 or 2 bowls behind me, but my friend would still get charged by the employee making their bowl.

Wow, it's been a while since I have been to a place where they actually not only fill the bowls to the brim but actually pack in the ingredients. When it comes to menus with way too many options I start to get overwhelmed so I opted for the recommended Lazy Blue which is pretty much half the menu with available, pitaya, blue bowl chia pudding, pumpkin flax, banana, strawberry, blueberry, almond butter, toasted coconut, almonds, gogi berry, cacao, hemp seed, pumpkin seed, and date honey.I set my expectations low since I have been to more than a handful of acai bowl shops, but blue bowls top quality ingredients really shine through and makes their bowls stand out from the competition.Overall, the bowl was delicious and very filling for an alternative meal substitute. I will definitely be back for more acai bowls.

I came here for an event a few weeks ago and liked it. I came back today and was very pleased with my blue bowl. The ingredient options here seem very healthy. Quite frankly I don't know what many of them are, or what they're going to taste like. I asked for advice from the servers and they were very accommodating. You first choose your bases. I got açaí, petaya, blue coconut, and blue chia pudding. They taste fresh and healthy. you can also get a granola layer. The server recommended one on the bottom and top. So i had maple quinoa as an underneath first layer and chocolate with chia on top of the bases. You then get to choose fruit. I had bananas, strawberry, and blueberries. There were also apples available. The next choice is a "butter". I got "the butter". They also have peanut butter, almond butter, and cashew butter. I don't even know what "the" butter is. But it tastes good. There are then many toppings from which to choose. I chose goni berries. The final option is sweeteners and powders. I got honey, at the server's suggestion.I don't know if this place is for everybody. Unless you are veru knowledgeable about these kinds of foods. I'm a foodie, but I didn't know about many of the things I ate. I really liked what I got. But i'm ok with experiencing and being surprised. Not everyone is like that. There were different textures and flavors that I really enjoyed. This is a little place in the Long Beach Exchange Hangar. it's cute, and the young people who work here are very nice. There are three sizes and paying $14.50 for the large 24 oz one is not inexpensive. But it feels like I definitely got my moneys worth.I came back today and will again. I really like this place.

We've been to Blue Bowl twice now and I think I'm officially a fan! Service is easy, quick, helpful, and friendly. It's also located in one of my favorite spots, The Hangar at LBX. According to staff, all ingredients are plant-based and bowls can be customized with unlimited bases and toppings. On our most recent visit, Hubby and I decided to split a 24oz bowl simply because it's more cost-effective than getting two separate bowls. Our bases were Blue Coconut, Gold (mango, carrot, orange, passion fruit, & turmeric), and cold brew. Our toppings were chocolate chia granola, strawberries, blueberries, almond butter, raw coconut, goji berries, mulberries, almonds, hemp seeds, cinnamon powder, and espresso powder. We easily devoured this beautiful creation! bit.ly/3EVelrzOther bases that I've enjoyed include açaí, pitaya, matcha, and blue chia pudding. Also, The Butter is a delicious blend of almond and cashew butter with dates, flax seeds, cacao, cinnamon, and vanilla that they make in-house. In fact, they make all their nut butters in-house which can be ordered in the same sizes as their açaí bowls.Legit spot to satisfy my dessert craving in a healthier way.

Healthy, beautiful blue bowls!Came here on a weekend and this place was poppin'! I parked further away from the Hangar so there were less cars around me.I ordered the Lazy Bowl because I'm an indecisive person. I added an extra topping on mine - organic mulberries and removed the shredded coconut. This was so delicious and a little too pretty to eat. I sat outside and this bowl self advertises because someone came up to me and asked "Where did you get that? It looks so beautiful!"My favorite topping was the mulberry. I never had this before and it was a nice chew with a hint of sweetness. My favorite base layer was the Pitaya. The pitaya has a dragonfruit color and a sorbet-like texture.Random, but I love how their spoons are BPI certified compostable, even though it doesn't feel like it would be, haha!Parking: Shared parking lot with the Hangar and Whole Foods. More parking can be found on the Whole Foods side.
