We sat outside and the umbrella didn't shade all of us. The waitress was so nice to move our table and the umbrella so we could all fit in the shade. The food and service were fabulous. Their drinks are yummy .I'll definitely go back.
Visited around 3pm on a Saturday. It was pretty clear they were between staff or getting breaks out. Stood by the door for a few minutes and could see there was no bartender, no host, only one server tending to a handful of tables, and the bar was covered in old drinks, plates, and napkins, with a dozen or so fruit flies hovering between the entrance and the bar. The host came out from the back and was extremely friendly, but we were apprehensive. Our table had some stuck-on cilantro and other gunk on it, consistent with the bar top and other uncleared tables. A couple employees came in the front door after 5-10 minutes, one of whom was our waiter who was also amazingly friendly. Shortly after we ordered, staff started cleaning things up. Ordered 3 cocktails and 3 waters. My water glass had some flecks of stuff stuck to the inside (we were checking our dishes at this point), and cocktails took over 10 minutes, but were very well-made. The food looked very nicely priced and intriguing, but between the concerning midday cleanliness and tangible understaffing, I don't think I'll be back to try any of it.
Went on a Monday to have some bites. When we arrived the music was extremely loud, playing heavy metal, which was very annoying. We were initially attended by Allan, who seemed very friendly. But then another person with tattoos took our order, and he didn't give us a good vibe. When this person brought our plates, they were full of water, and he wiped them in front of us with a very dirty cloth he had on him. Very disgusting, it made us very uncomfortable to eat from those plates afterward since. The food wasn't that bad, but the service and the music ruined the whole experience. We wish Allan had been the one to serve us.
Fun neighborhood bar and casual restaurant. The BBQ was good and the in-house spirits were fun to try. Very casual 'after work' type of spot.
Broken Spirits Distillery was an excellent find on the Promenade in Long Beach. I was here for a fraternal convention and tried a few places to eat. The prices are very reasonable, the drinks were excellent and fun, and the service was outstanding. Our server really exemplified great customer service! I can't remember her name, but she was 24 with dark har (sorry). The food was flavorful and my only regret is I didn't find this place until the night before I was leaving because I would have gone back again to try the other dishes on the menu. Whenever I do go back to Long Beach, Broken Spirits Distillery will be the first, middle, and last place I go to get food and drinks!
This place was good, the food and service were awesome. May a reservation on Opentable and walked right in. Their beer selection was very small that would be my only complaint. Liquor they had it all.
It is always a great experience coming here which is why I'm here about once a week. Valentin the chef is remarkable and so is the staff! Keep the bread pudding in the menu please and thank you!!!!!!
They were way understaffed. We waited 40 minutes for drinks to arrive. I can tell if they were staffed it would have been great, but they weren't.
Great food and well crafted cocktails! Great spot to gather with friends - also, late night HH available!
Staff was incredibly knowledgeable about menu ingredients and food allergies, felt very safe eating here !

Broken Spirits Distillery is amazing. The food and drinks are delicious! Adrian makes the best cocktails and he and the staff are friendly and attentive. We love coming here as well as to their other location in Anaheim. Also recommend Villains Brewing and Craft by Smoke and Fire, all owned by the same great group of guys! #suportlocal
Delicious food. We went around noon on a Saturday and made a reservation assuming it was going to be busy but it was quiet. Multiple screens with football playing but relatively quiet. Great drinks and attentive staff. Will be back very soon.
The best happy hour Downtown. The food is amazing and the drinks exceptional. The service was great, we did not wait long for our drinks and food. Reservations are sometimes needed on weekends.
This is my second time here and they killed it again! Tommy was very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks, he made reallly great suggestions all night. Top notch service, super cool ambiance and fantastic food, I'll be back to try the sandwiches!
Our server was Giovanni and he was excellent! He was attentive but not hovering and he has a great personality. The food was also outstanding! Can't wait to come back.
