We like the downtown location and the plaza where you can enjoy your meal outdoors. The food was very good, it came out hot and the portions are huge and prices are very reasonable.
The wait staff seemed ill trained and not really enthusiastic about wanting to help. Nothing bad or rude just very mediocre.
We will definitely be back.

I have been eating here for at least 21 years. Today put the icing on the cake. Actually it was 2 days ago when I ordered minestrone soup and it was full of spaghetti that is so in Italian my great-grandmother and grandmother would roll over in their graves. Today and this is not the first time I came home at 1:00 with my handicap granddaughter to try to get her into the house but the loading zone was full including a black Honda delivery car from buono's I went back down at 6:00 to take my dogs out in the same car was in the same spot. I politely called them and asked to speak to the manager a gentleman came on the phone who I did not recognize as the manager as I know most of the employees there he was a delivery man. He proceeded to hang up on me karma I called back to tell him it's not cool what he did and explained my situation and that is not public parking. I said I was coming down here he said I dare you I'm calling the police. I went down there anyway to speak my mind after spent thousands of dollars over the years there they all laughed at me and thought it was funny that my disabled granddaughter had to walk about 400 more steps than if I could have parked in the loading zone. They have lost a long-time customer and I will continue to blast them on social media for their actions today. I've excused there an Italian ethics in the past but today has gone too far. They give a wrong picture of my family's heritage and I am disassociating with them forever

Stumbled across this place on my last day in Long Beach. Did the lunch buffet and it was well worth my visit. There was an office party there that day so pizza went fast but they were quick to restock. Great options besides pizza too.

Good Food, Big Portions, and a Nice Patio
Buono’s Pizzeria served up large portions and overall good food. The pizza dough was a bit different than what we’re used to, but still enjoyable. The calzone was just okay—the cheese wasn’t fully melted and could’ve used a little more time in the oven.
The highlights were definitely the antipasta, which was fresh and flavorful, and the fried zucchini appetizer—it was the best part of the meal! We also really enjoyed dining on the back patio, which made for a relaxing experience.
We’d come back again, especially for the appetizers and the atmosphere.

We ordered 2 large pizza’s the total came to $71.89. The order was in at 7:29 pm on Thursday 6/5/25. My wife called back again at 7:37 pm and talked to some young girl to ask them for plates, peppers and cheese. We called back at 9:10pm and the recording said they were closed and after looking at my bank account, I was charged for the pizza and never received it. We were staying at the Hilton on Ocean Blvd less than a half mile away.
As for your reply, my wife sat in the lobby waiting for you and had her phone also. We had no call and I asked the individual at the front desk and they said no one attempted to deliver any pizza, if they would have they would have delivered the pizza to our room there self. We should have received a phone call telling us you were not delivering our pizza. You may have good food but you have bad service.
San Pedro or Long Beach I love both locations
