Food just like in Louisiana, Creole Jambalaya in particular, and a wide selection of food otherwise and also drinks!
Not much space for seating, you should be quick if you can find some space.

Hey Yall I was highly disappointed with this place, I am from Louisiana lived there 25yrs now, I get to live here in California an experience all there is to offer. As we came to the restaurant it was very confusing which door was the front door. Then the order of 1lb shrimp and 1lb of crawfish seafood boil now let me tell you it take good but nothing like a real cajun seafood boil. They did not use any zatarans seasoning boil, No Tony's seasoning. ABSOLUTELY.NO CAJUN, SPICE, A LOT OF BUTTER AND A LOT OF GARLIC. The crawfish was pick 2 early and the crawfish were way too small a.Lot of them, the tails were out. That means they were dead before they even started cooking them.I know this as a southern louisianer. Then the alligator legs were definitely overcooked chewy. Um, not good at all.And then for the bingers, which is always one of my favorites, which not here, I would never get beignets, again. They burnt them, and then they put so much powdered sugar on top of them to disguise the burnt look an flavor they were horrible. Do not get there beignets. The view is beautiful. I will say I was disappointed with this experience i was expecting home. No jazz music. Just sad. I hope they get better. I just won't be re visiting. In total it was 119 dollars not worth it.

It's definitely not Louisiana, but not bad. Very large portions, so I advise u split with someone. Small covered patio area with tables and counter seats on the water.

San Diego is a huge tourist town. After visiting all the places you want, exhausted and wanna have a meal, Louisiana Charlie's is a place to be. A food court comprising of many eateries and pubs. The best place to have you food and drinks overlooking the water. It gets busy, which adds the thrill and life in the atmosphere.

The food is good and the people are nice. I think that it is the best place to eat in Seaport Village.
If you like Soul Food you will like this place.

We were in Seaport Village and saw that the restaurant had finally opened. I saw someone eating greens and I said they have greens! The lady said yes and they’re good too!. I sent my Hubby to find a place to sit while I queued up to order. You order and pay at the counter and take your number to your table. The food came out fairly quickly. Fried Shrimp, fries, hot links, Mac n cheese, collard greens, water and a strawberry Fanta. The portions are generous and served in what can become your to go containers.

This is our go to place after SDCC! We love taking it back to the house and feasting as our end of con tradition, and it never disappoints. Love this restaurant so much :)

It's a good spot if your craving that Cajun spice. I had gumbo, cajun corn and cornbread. Both were good to satisfy the soul food mood. Cornbread was small and not worth the price. Also had the beignets..very tasty. Busy small spot with one register, so expect a wait.
