Best Italian food in area. Very homemade atmosphere. Rapid service due to small size and need for quick table turnovers. Not a great place if you plan on spending 3 hours to chat.

This is a family-run, hole-in-the-wall restaurant that immediately transported us out of long beach. It was fantastic. the service, food, and ambience were all 10/10.

Rude manager , and got stomachache after their food. Definitely don’t recommend!

An absolute gem in Belmont. Wish I took some pictures but the ravioli (subbed Alfredo sauce) was delicious. Highly recommend.

Wow. I'm so beyond thrilled to have found this tiny little gem! The food is beyond delicious. Take a trip to flavortown and enjoy the ride hahahaha this place is insanely good. I got calamari and some penne russa (I think) with chicken and it came with a salad WHICH WAS ALSO SO DARN DELICIOUS. Everything was delicious. Everything was hot. The man who I believe was the owner gave me theeee best service I could ask for after a long day of work. The place looked so cute and cozy I wish I could've stayed and dined in. Found my new favorite Italian spot in Long Beach!! Thank you so much for the amazing food and service! I will definitely be back

Best (but smallest) place to get Italian food hand down. Not great for a large party- there are about 5 tables total - but the food can't be beat.

Believe it or not, I have never heard of this place until now! I wanted to try something new and oh my gosh this was fantastic! It's now our favorite new Italian spot! From the food to the service it was top notch! The place is small but the ambiance is cozy and kinda romantic. Not a good place for large parties. We will definitely return!

We found this random spot because of my brother's birthday. The food here is AMAZING and FULL OF FLAVOR. The spot is really tight and cozy and has two tables outside. This was my first time for the bill to include a mandatory tip. The menue did not disclose that gratuity would be included or maybe I REALLY missed it.It was a party of 3.No where else on Belmont shore have I experienced this, so I did not expect it.

I am speechless y'all. This is legitimately some of the best food, service, and ambiance I've ever experienced. We were blown away by the simple, fresh flavors of each course. The staff members were kind, and the restaurant itself is precious. Because of the limited seating, the staff provides a special experience to each table. The meal starts with fresh bread served to each guest. We also ordered bruschetta for the table, and it was delicious! I chose to start with salad and ordered the Checca for my main course. I can't express how phenomenal the flavors were in both the salad and pasta. The whole family was just as happy with their choices! We finished off the meal by splitting tiramisu and limoncello mascarpone cake. Both were absolutely top notch, and the perfect way to polish off such a good meal. This place is definitely one to check out. I can't say enough good things about Cafe Gazelle!!

Everything was amazing. Don't be fooled with how tiny this restaurant may be because it definitely fulfills your standards when it comes to a date night, catching up with friends, or just wanting some authentic Italian food. I was not expecting our main dishes to come with lentil soup or salad (salad was beautifully made with bright pink colors). They also gave our own mini loaf of bread to start off with along with some Parmesan cheese and butter. The service was excellent, they were so quick when it came to clearing our table and to making sure we had our waters refilled. You can tell the pasta was made from scratch just by the texture and the sauce is not too heavy or greasy/oily at all. I would definitely recommend coming here 100000/10. When we asked for the dessert menu, our server came out with a whole tray of options for us to pick! Everything was a fun experience from beginning to end. You may be back to back with another guest from a different table but it's so worth it

FOOD/DRINK: I really like this spot, it's been a Belmont Shore staple for me for years. The food is comfort food and has that homemade feel. They always offer bread and salad/soup (included in price of entree) as well to round out your meal, which a lot of spots don't do anymore. I tend to get the Penne Russa which has a vodka sauce, and it hits the spot when I want warm, cheesy, creamy carbs.AMBIENCE: It's a hole-in-the wall restaurant with a small array of tables meant for 2-4 (I wouldn't come here with large groups, it just doesn't have the capacity). You can see the kitchen from the dining area, as it's all fluid. It's not fancy, it's cozy. It's meant to feel like you're in someone's home. Great for date nights. I actually tend to go solo, and I find it a comforting solo spot to read over dinner without feeling awkward. Street parking, or walk if you live within Belmont.SERVICE: Great. It's a family-owned spot. Since it's a smaller space, they are always aware when you need something (e.g., more water, the bill).

Hidden off 2nd Avenue, this small, romantic trattoria has been serving Northern Italian food for many years. Everything is made to order. Personable service, very good Italian wines, and delicious desserts. Soup or salad, side of pasta and vegetable included with all entrees, making prices more than fair.
