I loved the security in this place no chance of running into anyone who didn't stay there how ever I didn't like that I had to pay for WiFi daily if it where a one time fee I would not have minded so much 15 *4 that is my internet bill for a month another down side no microwave in the room only one located on another level.
Average hotel stay. Despite being a platinum Bonvoy customer and selecting a room on an upper floor with ocean view and king bed, I got a weird room right off the hot tub and pool and a Murphy bed on the 3rd floor. Tried to call front desk but found out the phone in the room was just for show. After putting the do not disturb on for my work meeting the maid felt the need to knock and check up on me. Out of principle I will not book this hotel again.
Large comfortable hotel within an easy walk to Aquarium and Shoreline Village (totally skipable). We stayed for a conference my husband was attending. Room was large and bed comfortable, ample outlets to charge devices. Definitely the best fitness center I've ever seen: multiple aerobic devices, lots of options for weight-bearing exercise, small separate space where you could dial up a private workout. Enough elevators to prevent waits getting to your room.
Excellent property with great staff. The valet and bellman were terrific. Easy check-in after a long, cross-country flight. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Very convenient to Orange County Airport. It is also a short drive to Long Beach. Breakfast was very good and service in restaurant was good. Loved the interiors and overall decor. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
Standard hotel as you would expect for this level. No surprises. Bathroom had no venting. That was odd as everything steamed up and got wet after a shower. Also not alot of dresser space. 2 people had to be creative with clothes for a week's stay.
The Renaissance was perfect for our night before the cruise. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Also we walked along the promenade to the Thursday Night Market - Under the Stars Where there was live music and food. We ate at the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Felt it was pricey. $20 for oatmeal seems like a lot. The restaurant service was good. The front desk helped staple our luggage tags. We called an Uber that took only 15 minutes to get us to the Los Angeles port in San Pedro. We had a view of the parking structure but did not ask for a harbor view. Our room was clean and large. The bathroom is large. There are no hooks or towel bars. So we rested the towel on the toilet seat. I would stay here again.
The room was not cleaned properly. The ac is was extremely noisy to the point I had to get maintenence to fix it. The room I was confirmed for was not available to me. In addition, the team I was traveling with was booked to a different hotel due to the property being oversold. They were not given advance notice and they were booked in to a lower class hotel. Not a great experience. On my last day there was no hot water. So, I had to take a cold shower. I am still waiting to hear from management.
From the moment I checked in with Lilia and each encounter thereafter has been a delight! The staff routinely makes a difference in any hotel stay, and they certainly did during this trip. Genuine, kind, and gracious. Very dog friendly, too!
Great hotel in a prime location. I usually don’t write reviews, but after reading some of the negative reviews that almost made me choose a choose a different hotel, I felt compelled to write one. The hotel is very nice esthetically and the room was clean and nice too, large and spacious. I will say that I saw a few nats in my room and asked to be moved. Eddie at the front desk made sure I was moved as soon as a clean room was ready. In hind sight, they may have been a result of some fruit that I had purchased. When I called down to order breakfast while I waited for a new room, the lady had heard about my situation and comped breakfast for me. I must shout out to the cleaning lady, Rosalina for speaking Spanish with me and teaching me a few new phrases. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel. It conveniently located near the convention center, the pier and plenty of restaurants and shops.
Great hotel in a amazing area . Staff friendly beds comfortable and near a lot of things to do within walking distance. Great restaurants. Near the water and shops. Queen Mary is super close to the hotel. Nice

We had a great stay this past weekend. We were only there for one night, but stayed in the harbor view room which was clean, your regular standard king room, but really had a great view. For me, it was too cold for the pool but it was in use every time we came down the elevators. They have glass elevators on the left that also have great views. Staff was super friendly everywhere. We are platinum and no lounge, but the breakfast buffet they offered was so good. Great location to walk to the harbor, outlet mall, and great restaurants.
I am a titanium elite Marriott member . We stayed at the the hotel 2/3-2/5. We had one Jr suite and one king room . We arrived on 2/3 at 12:45 pm. One of our rooms was ready. As I was traveling with my 81 year parents , I was happy to have a room ready . I was charged 25$ for early check in. We got into the room a little after 1 pm. (3 hrs early) On checkout day, we were out by 9:45 am (5 hrs earlier than I had to be) for a flight even though I am guaranteed late checkout with my status , this freed up their rooms early for the hotel. The rooms and breakfast were fine . However, I felt undervalued as a titanium elite member . I did ask to speak to the MOD at checkout about the fee. The room was ready at check in . Letting us in the room early did not cost the hotel anything . The MOD told me it was a new policy that some Marriotts were trying out . I told him I was extreme dissatisfied and disappointed and would not stay there again . I have never encountered this and I travel quite a bit . He said he would “pass on” my comments . The MOD should have the power to remove the charge , but he chose not to. I called and spoke to the Westin down the street. Also a Marriott property. They DO NOT charge an early check in fee if the room is ready. At the time I booked , these two hotels were the same price ; I will choose the Westin next time. I would avoid this hotel for anyone that has high up Marriott status as you will not be valued when they “make up fees” and nickel and dime you.
Great location, artistic modern hotel Check in: The lobby is beautifully done. Many modern touches. The bar adds a nice feel to the ambience. The help at the front desk left a little to be desired, but overall, no big problems. There is a pool table and art by local artists on the wall contributing to the cool feel of this hotel. There is a Starbucks and a restaurant on site. Room: The beds were surprisingly comfortable and everyone in my family agreed. The shower has great water pressure and they provide Aveda products. The housekeeping seemed to be very diligent and busy, as we always saw them outside of our room. I loved how the elevators were fast! It's the little things that make me happy! There was a nice pool/jacuzzi with a great view on the 3rd floor. The gym had Peloton bikes and looked sleek. Didn't get to utilize these facilities during my short stay, but I saw others enjoying them. Nearby this hotel within walking distance is The Promenade. There are so many restaurants and bars that looked awesome. There's a Ruth's Chris across the street. They are developing a lot of modern looking housing in the area to jazz up the area. The only downside was the homeless people inhabiting the area. There are electric scooters and bikes available to use all around the city to go exploring. Parking was pricey at $38/day and if you are not a Marriott member, you have to pay for wifi. Despite this, all in all, my stay at the Renaissance Long Beach was pleasant.
The managers, Jordan and John, are two of the most unreasonable and uncooperative managers I’ve ever had to deal with regarding such a simple issue. Don’t waste your time or expect to ever get through to them for any billing issues.
I did not stay at this hotel, but used the hotel parking for weeklong extended parking. The staff was very helpful and the pricing was very affordable. The parking was covered, so my vehicle was protected from the elements, during my cruise. This is a great place to park for an extended period of time.
