I'm disappointed that my tattoo came out crooked when it was a simple cross 3x2 inches. I called and they told me to reach out to the artist himself. I don't understand why they would set me up with someone who could barely do straight lines. This is permanent on my body. I told them I would post a review. They couldn't even help me with telling me they would do it at a discount again or simply redo it. They said they would recharge me again but how can I trust them after they messed me up the first time. Go with word of mouth friends with art you've seen done on people you know

Every single time I come to this shop, I always feel extremely welcomed. I personally go to Lauren, who is AMAZING btw. She's so attentive and patient. She always listens to what you want and executes her work perfectly. I've seen some of the other artists work as well and honest to god you can't go wrong with choosing ANY of them. 10/10 recommend.

I just want to share my experience at calavera studio, primarily Lauren as a tattoo artist. She was my first arm tattoo and I had such an incredible experience I cannot wait for her cancellation list to open so we can work on the rest of my piece. I have terrible anxiety and I had a terrible experience with my first tattoo, but Lauren and everyone at the shop made me feel so safe. It's clean, and they take COVID precautions serious. I recommend this place to all my friends and if you're curious about giving this shop a try I say you should do it!

Ashley was so sweet and thoughtful throughout the entire process! She checked in often to see if I needed a break (it's my 2nd tattoo, and significantly larger and more detailed than my first) and tolerated my colorful language haha. Really appreciated how attentive she was to the reference photo, and she considered each and every input. Highly recommend!
Had my second session with Adrian today and I'm so so so happy with my work. I've had an idea for a sleeve for years but couldn't find the right person until I found his work online. I was really nervous before coming because tattoo shops can have weird toxic machismo vibes but this shop is super comfy and welcoming & all of the artists are really talented. I'm a tattoo newbie and Lauren Potts at Calavera Studios designed an amazing piece of art for me. Lauren is so talented and such an easy person to talk to and work with. She took my inspiration ideas and interpreted them in a way that is absolutely perfect for me. I was drawn to her delicate botanical linework and artistic nature and my piece is just gorgeous! The tattoo experience was fast, safe, and fun and the aftercare instructions were clear and comprehensive. The studio is welcoming, light and bright, and there is a really friendly rapport between coworkers. Just a lovely place to be. Looking forward to a second tattoo.

I got a tattoo from Lauren a couple weeks ago and had such a good experience. The studio itself is clean and comfortable and quite pretty. I was nervous going in since I was getting a tattoo on my sternum (and irrationally felt a little awkward about it). Lauren was so sweet and reassuring and easy to talk to that I never once felt uncomfortable. The process didn't take nearly as long as I thought it might, and the tattoo came out beautifully. I love it! I highly recommend Lauren. She does great work and is a very cool person. And her work station has lots of pretty plants to look at.

I got an upper back floral piece with Lauren back in November and I seriously cannot praise her enough!! We did our consultation over Zoom and she was very responsive and helped me narrow down what I was looking for. She totally went above and beyond with the design and made sure I was happy with the outline and the placement. She tattooed quickly and decisively and gave me updates about her work as she was going so I was always aware of what was happening. This was particularly comforting with the back piece (as I couldn't watch the progress myself.) I have already recommended Lauren to other friends and am happy to recommend her to you!
