I am giving three stars as they have gone to self-serve ordering via a screen. This actually takes longer than a menu on the wall. Very impersonal. They have someone standing there in case you run into an issue but if this is the case during a busy lunch time then I definitely will not be coming here even though it is right across the street from where I work. The food is good and they have the best fish and chips around. But again this self-ordering is enough to keep me away especially during a busy time. Unfortunately it seems a lot of restaurants are doing good.

This place got way better. Not only they added the kiosks to make the ordering system flows better, but their prices did not change a lot unlike other places. Can never go wrong with fish and chips! Always spot on for me. Very flaky and moist. Any other grilled items along with zucchini and kaleslaw, always good too! Team members are always friendly and welcoming. They will also take care of your table after you leave so you can just leave all your plates. Ever since pandemic, they don't have the self serve condiments anymore but you can always ask for them extras when you pick your order. Definitely a must if you like seafood!

Decent fish for the price. The mahi mahi was super thin and kind of dry. I loved the mango drink with sea salt not too sweet but just right. Califlower rice was yummy. Tuna was cooked nicely. Overall this place is decent for the price and portions and overall the food is tasty and not overly salted. Easy to find parking and they have electronic kiosks for easy ordering.

I ordered dinner from there tonight. I had the mahi mahi, it's one of my favorite fishes. It was so overcooked and dry, we ordered it w 2 sides, don't think it was regular sides because it came to almost $48.00, for a $14.00 meal. It was for 2 people, same fish.For almost $50.00 I would expect something decent.Sorry I won't be ordering from them again. The sides were decent, but the fish was why I ordered from them.The menu should also have the sides that go w the meals.

I followed "The Woody Show" and their advice to have fish and chips there while also supporting the radio station. It was friday so fish was on my mind and my god was it so good. Three perfect pieces, perfectly crispy and juicy and the help was on top of my needs. I like it with a lot of lemon and it worked out well to get enough juice to squeeze all over the fish. Its a lot of food because it came with fries and a coleslaw made with Kale. I wasn't too impressed with the Kaleslaw and the fries were dressed up a little too much for my taste. The presentation definitely fits the kind of place that it is, but I would have preferred the fries be steak style and be plain. I also ordered the avocado salsa and after eating the fish, I didn't even try it at the restaurant. The help again looked after me and gave me the necessary to-go containers to take it home and enjoy it later. After two days, I handled it and it was so damn good. I loved the pickled onions and the combination of it all mixed up well and it was still great days later. I will definitely go back and enjoy the fish, even when its not Lent.

This is my favorite fish restaurant. I love the combination plates, the add ons and sides. My favorites are Atlantic Salmon and Swai fish with Cajun sauce, Rosemary Zuchinni, Avocado Corn Salsa and fries.

What were you thinking with the robot voice order taker that messed up the order? Some genius thought it would be better to eliminate human contact in exchange for AI that is flawed. Wow. Now we have to go in to pace a to go order. Needless to say, our frequency of visiting California Fish Grill has decreased by at least 50% due to the hassle and wait time.

The general manager Andrew Hill provided top tier customer service, while team did the same. We had not one complaint about our food. The quality, presentation, taste & flavor. Very disappointed with my experience at the CA Fish Grill. I came in to place an order to go for myself and two other people. I ordered the fried fish and shrimp plate for my boyfriend. I ordered the avocado bowl for myself and a separate order of the coconut shrimp and Parmesan string beans for my cousin. Once I got home everyone was enjoying their food and after my 3rd bite I not only noticed there was no avocado but there were also 2 long strands of hair in my bowl. I immediately felt nauseous and lost my appetite. I called the restaurant and spoke with Ashley and all that was offered was for me to come back to the store to get a new bowl or a refund. I would have appreciated being refunded and also given a fresh bowl due to the inconvenience and negligence on their part. To my knowledge, food handlers are supposed to wear hairnets to prevent this type of thing from happening. It felt as though they took no responsibility and just tried to make a quick fix. Very disappointing.
