Casa Chaskis is THE best Peruvian restaurant in Long Beach, in my opinion. I can ALWAYS depend on them for amazing, fresh-cooked food, and everyone is always so kind! I've had almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. Even the more simpler meals like the fried fish has so much good flavor. Last time we went, my boyfriend was already planning the next time we would come Thank you for providing LB with delicious Peruvian food, Casa Chaskis!

Such a cute spot with authentic Peruvian food. I know this because I grew up with Peruvian neighbors who fed me all sorts of traditional foods and it brought me back to those special childhood memories. Highly recommend!

Food and service was excellent! Definitely going back! Great value and ambience as well. The pollo a la plancha was phenomenal.

It's special to find a laid back restaurant with delicious food - extra bonus when it's a good peruvian spot in westside long beach. Chef Augustine knows flavors & the dishes here are next level yummy. Stand outs: - the warm chewy bread rolls (very good dipped in the creamy/spicy verde sauce at the table) - yucca fries in cheese sauce (use the extra sauce to have with the bread and verde sauce!) - empanadas - cooked fresh to order, shell isn't too heavy, has great crisp and chew and well seasoned fillings - Chaufa de camaron fried rice - it looks basic but the flavors are surprising and really delicious. Love that it comes with lots of well cooked shrimps - Tallarin with pescado frito - wowwww very creamy and comforting and fish is crispy, moist & flavorful. Big serving too - good enough to share The saltados are seasoned well too, it's just the other dishes were better & more unique. The patio and interior gives charming and welcoming vibes and the staff is super warm. Good place for larger gatherings outside - especially on a Wednesday (no corkage fee)

So freaking good! Def a new favorite spot. Will be back. The salad was grown in their backyard, not sure if it's always like this or I just got lucky with their harvest. Loved the spicy hot sauce. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend

Got so sick after eating here. Might have been a coincidence but could not stop puking which is a shame because the food itself isnt bad. Taste good. The guy is a bit rude but the place looks nice even if its small. Dont know if i would try again.

We picked up food to go but the inside is nicely decorated and there is a large outdoor patio. There’s a large parking lot as well. The impossible empanadas were so good! They ran out of their spinach & 5 cheese empanadas so I’ll def make a trip back to get that hot ticket item. Their yuca was nicely crisp and the garlic cheese sauce was so tasty. We tried their pescado frito plato as well and the green sauce that came with that was also amazing. The pescado had a nice crispy texture but wasn’t over done. Served with marinated onions, yuca, rice, and rolls. They offer Inca Kola too. I will def be going back and totally recommend this farm to table restaurant. They have produce from their own garden and it’s greatly appreciated to have in their local neighborhood. I wish I took photos of the food but I ate it too quickly hahaVegetarian options: Impossible empanadas, spinach and five cheese empanadas, yuca frita, veg section of menu offers many options.Parking: Large lot in back of restaurantKid-friendliness: Family oriented

First time eating at Casa Chaskis. We started with ground beef empanadas as an appetizer. The empanadas were so delicious, perfectly seasoned and empanadas were flaky and crisp. We tried the combinado de carne (limo saltado without the fries) and limo saltado and it was prepared very well, served with the Peruvian beans (canary beans seasoned and creamy) and white rice. Our drinks (non-alcoholic) were the Maracaya (passion fruit) and tropical iced tea were just refreshing. I love the Peruvian decor inside and the servers were attentive and friendly and asked if we had a questions about the menu. We will definitely keep Casa Chaskis on our preferred list of restaurants!

Had a good, quiet, weekday lunch on their outdoor patio.I'm a sucker for the various rice dishes of a region, so when I read somewhere (can't remember exactly which) about Casa's Seafood Chinese Fried Rice, I knew I needed to stop by when I was in the area. They have a large shared parking lot, and there was plenty of parking when I stopped by when they opened at 11am on a Wednesday. They have both large indoor and shaded outdoor seating, making good use of a corner lot. I got to choose a nice table outside, and was the only diner for my entire stay. It's rustic, which fits the food really well, and the use of porcelain-enameled steel plates and mason jars for water is a nice touch. They have a large menu, with a lot of meat and vegetarian options (in fact, they use Impossible meat substitute in some of their vegetarian dishes). I had already known about the Japanese influence in Peru (and had eaten saltado dishes before), but didn't know as much about the Chinese influence in their cuisine, and this was my chance to try out their rice dish. I also can't miss out on empanadas when on the menu, and ended up ordering some to bring home as well.-- Complementary roll was given first, and to be honest, it may be the thing I remember most about the meal (probably because I was really hungry). The warm bread was perfect with a pat of butter.-- Beef Empanada ($3.50) - it was good, the pastry wasn't too thick, and it had been deep-fried really well. I noticed it had raisins, which gave it a hint of sweetness.-- Chaufa de Mariscos ($20) - a good dish, chock full of seafood (white fish chunks, mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, squid rings) topped with chives. It was non-descript in appearance (even with the scallop shell as arranged). The taste of the rice was OK...was trying to figure out why this tasted a bit different. Definitely filled me up (as rice will do).The one waitress was super friendly; she was surprised at me being there so early (seems like customers come later in the day). I couldn't help but think what a nice location for a medium sized family gathering the outdoor patio would be, with the various dishes served family style (just like what you would do at a nice Asian restaurant). Chaskis uses Clover as their payment processor, so all forms of payment is accepted at the table, which is convenient. Definitely doable having lunch here in one hour. Need to come back and try their paella and their beans, as mentioned in other reviews.
