I have been visiting Charo Chicken off and on since I was a kid. I always considered it a much better version of El Pollo Loco along with being a little different from the other chicken houses. The garlic lemon butter seasoning and the chicken is cooked perfectly with a moist center and well seasoned exterior. Let's not forget the brownies they sell fresh everyday. I really do enjoy this place's quality of food and their service is always patient and friendly.

What a great location. Nice dining furniture inside & outside. I tried this place few years ago and just didn’t remember if was good or not. I know it just smells very delicious in this place. Today I tried it again I had the BBQ Chicken Burrito and it was extremely huge & delicious. After eating here I never want El Pollo Loco ever again. I’m trying the salad next…great job guys!

The chicken is 1 of kind with rich marinated flavors that come through deliciously. Their side dishes are excellent too. But their chicken is the star of the show so much I drive a 45 minutes each way to get it. It’s absolutely amazing

I don't know how to feel. The steak was too salty, and the harmony of the steak bowl was put together without any care or thought. I felt full, but I don't remember what I ate. A confusing experience, nonetheless. Maybe the other items on the menu are better but honest It felt like I ate air.

Hi I would like to let you know I’ve been coming to your place for the last 24 or 26 years because I used to work at Comerica Bank and these whole Plaza where you located used to own by the Wang Partnership which the wife of Johns is one of my friend. Anyway I just want you I let you know we’ve always been looking forward to have your chicken . When we used to live her in Ling Beach we order or go to your place once a month but since we live in Riverside now we’re always looking forward to eat Charo chicken bec. We know your chicken is 100 x better than El Pollo loco. I do t know what happened today something has changed the chicken was not that flavorful. I don’t know if you guys marinate them or seasoned them well because today the chicken meat has no flavor at all . I’m not sure if you’re getting your chicken from a different Company or something is not right. We were very frustrated eating the chicken today. I hope you guys can switch it back how it was before. Your manager at the restaurant cannot even compensate me with anything rather than just saying sorry. Another thing when your guys was cleaning the other Grimm don’t you guys have a stainless steel to or Splash guard so when they’re cleaning the chicken it doesn’t splatter or spray the chicken on the grill . That’s a no no they only have a carton halfway only not covering the whole area to protect the cleaner that they’re using to spray or splatter on the chicken. I hope you guys can do the same thing how it was so the chicken flavor would stay the same because if this continue we’re not going to come back anymore and it’s kinda sad because we’ve patronized and we’re a regular customers. I hope you can e-mail me back to find out why your chicken meat has no taste this time the chicken meat is not as moist as it was.

The service is very slow, I see that they charged me up to $1 more to add brisket but I almost finished the burrito and I don't look at the meat. It's a joke that they charge more and don't add what they are charging.

I've come here before and the food was amazing. However recently went in. The whole place was real dirty and the huge physical menu on the wall to the right when you walk in fell off the wall. I was dining in. I am not exaggerating at all the chicken was given to me cold. Like what??? And the cherry on top I found a hair in my beans. I was so disappointed I just didn't say anything, ate what I could and left.
