All our dishes were well-executed and perfectly cooked: the octopus, wagyu tartare, lamb neck, and scallops were standouts, and the cocktails and wine were all on point - there’s a great range of libations for the fan of classics and “fun” cocktails alike - and the bartender was super accommodating in dialing in custom drinks to our preference. The wine list is great and the pours are actually pours.
It was also cool to see how Chef Danny adds thoughtful and subtle riffs from Asian cuisine to the dishes that are fun, but don’t over complicate anything like “fusion” would.
The team was super attentive without being overbearing, and John (co-owner) spent probably a cumulative 30-45 minutes over the course of the meal doting on us, explaining the dishes and their “why,” along with just hamming it up. Like others have said, just really excellent service.
We’ll be back soon.

absolutley delightfull - Sunday afternoon tea service. we very much appreciated the attentiveness of the staff, the care they took with everything from the seating throughout the restraunt (spaced) to the continual attention, and the amazing tea and food. chefs kiss

We have been here 3 times for dinner and once for afternoon tea. The meals here have all been great and they have a vast and reasonable wine selection at all price levels. The afternoon tea is so special since not many places even offer that.

Went here for my birthday and the service was spectacular!! It wasn’t too crowded and the vibe was perfect 🤩
my only complaint is that they had a guy with a mic that was doing drink tasting with a group and was doing it on the microphone and everyone throughout the restaurant heard it whether or not you were a part which I thought was annoying.
Other wise super yummy and takes care of their guests, they gave me desert in a glass 😋🤌🏾

Chez Bacchus absolutely blew us away. The halibut was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the flat iron steak was tender, juicy, and beautifully presented. We also had their espresso martinis—easily some of the best we’ve had anywhere.
The ambiance was just as impressive—elegant yet relaxed, with the perfect lighting and music to set the tone for a great night out. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. It was hands down the best service I’ve experienced at any restaurant in Long Beach in a very long time. Attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.
Chez Bacchus has definitely earned a spot at the top of our list, and we can’t wait to come back.
